I want to replace my Protector Armor Rodimus in my CHUGS collection with MP28 but I'm curious if the new MP will be in a decent scale with the other CHUGS figures. I use city commander for Ultra Magnus so I am hoping he will stand slightly shorter than City Commander but taller than my deluxe sized preceptor, Kup, blur, etc. I haven't collected masterpiece figures since the original Prime, megaton, and starscream but I know they rescaled them to make them smaller. Does anyone think I will have any scale issues replacing Protector with MP 28?

 

MP28 will probably be about the same size as Voyager Springer.

 

I think MP28 will be about head shorter than MP10: not sure how that compares to city commander Ultra Magnus, mines been in a box in storage for ages but I'm thinking it MP28 may be a little tall?

 

He's way shorter than MP-10. Looks a head or two taller than a carbot.

 

I stand corrected, haven't seen this picture before. I don't know why I was thinking he was bigger than this, looks like it might work with City Commander

 

I use warbot defender for Springer-hoping MP 28 is a little taller than him and a little smaller than City Commander. My main collection is all the characters from the 86 movie. I still need a sharkticon legends class fig(please Hasbro!),a non custom brawn(I repainted gears), insecticon shrapnel in legends size, and some dinobots(use my G1 figs) to finish it off.

 

He looks perfect. I wish I could find a pic of him beside some deluxe class figs.

 

From the way it looks, MP Hot Rod is much taller than Protector Rodimus and your Ultra Magnus. You'll see in the first image MP Hot Rod is practically as tall as MP Magnus' waist since MP Magnus isn't standing completely straight. The second image shows how MP-10 and MP Rodimus and yea... they're just a bit taller at the base of MP Magnus' chest. This probably makes him around MP carbot sized similar to MP Tracks.





The third image shows Leader Magnus being taller than MP Magnus' abdominal for more scale reference. CW Magnus looks to be taller than MP Hot Rod. I could be wrong of course...

 

So anyone interested in buying a loose protector armor and accessories in the near future?

Looking at pics of city commander and MP UM together it appears Cc is just slightly smaller tha MP10. Hmmm. I don't know. I may have to replace City Commander with Leader UM(although that screws up the scale with other CHUGS figs too!

 

Hey you know you can't have a Hot Rod taller than Ultra Magnus   You know what must be done to bring balance!  

But on a serious note, just look over what you're looking for and plan ahead. Take some time.

 

I plan on using him as Rodimus so he can at least be almost as tall as UM

 

Leader Megatron kinda screwed up scale anyways.

 

Very much on the fence re: this figure. I usually don't mind sacrifices to the bot mode since it affords us a real life accurate car mode. However, given that Hot Rod's alt mode is fake; they should have done a better job with the bot mode

 

He's about the same height as generations Springer with his legs spread out here, so he's taller than him standing straight up.
