Let's get some cold, hard numbers on what you prefer. It's too hard to figure out from forum posts. Marvel comics scale "larger than deluxe" Scorponok, or city-bot sized Scorponok?

I'm really sorry to add to the huge pile of threads on this topic, but I really gotta know.

Do we also want to discuss the issue of size? I figure people are pretty set in their ways.
Then again, Fortress Maximus was much smaller in the Marvel comics, wasn't he? Still larger than Scorponok though, right?
I have no idea how Scorponok was in the show, for how long, or if he had a consistent size; or if he was in IDW.
The toy was clearly in between Powermaster Optimus Prime and Galvatron on the small end, and Fortress Maximus on the huge end, so that's not a good match for anything. He was probably closer in size to Prime and Metroplex than Fortress Maximus, but then Fort Max was so huge.

For me, it's Titan Class 1st choice to go up against Fortress Maximus (G1 or Titans Return version). I'm using the Sentinel Giant Megazarak/Scorponok for that purpose right now. I also have the Botcon 2014 Ultra class Scorponok that looks pretty good next to Perfect Effect Warden or Toyworld Infinitor.

If someone wants Marvel Comics size Scorponok -- THAT ALREADY EXISTS. You can have the BotCon figure. Go get it.

For people who want Scorponok the size he was in animation, either US or Japan, or the size the original toy was supposed to represent (check the box art), Titan Class is the only answer.

I wouldn't buy a Titan Class Scorponok. I'd probably be interested if it was a well done Leader Class toy.

I always hated that the old Scorponok was smaller than Fort Max. Titan all the way.

Scorponok has zero business being smaller than titan class. Unless it has no base mode. Which isn't the case, considering all three candidates have at least 1 base mode each

I'm definitely getting Perfect Effect Deathstalker, so whatever size that is (probably Leader ish). I have a stronger affinity for the Marvel Comic version of Scorp. On the other hand, if they make a Titan Scorp, I'll get him, too (and sadly, for about the same price). He'll be in giant scorpion mode for the Titan and robot mode for the PE one

I'd like to see a Titan Class Scorponok for the same reason I always wanted an official Leader class Fort Max - because he's never had a chance to be that size. The G1 toy was intended to be a massive cityformer but his toy was small and he also had the problem of being portrayed as Fort Max-sized in the comics, which raises a whole host of questions. Fort Max had a good 3P showing of his 'comic' size in Warden, and Botcon Scorponok is close enough to being that size for me.

However, that's where the disparity comes in. Fort Max has had toys to reflect both his massive Rebirth/Headmasters appearance and his 'bigger than normal but not by much' size in Marvel and IDW. Scorponok has always been stuck just...not being the right size, and I think the best way to give him a chance is to make him a Titan to square off against the glorious new Fort Max.

Of course, I voted for Omega Supreme, so what do I know? :D

Yeah, like that kind of argument works with any character that fans want done properly. "Want G1 Optimus Prime? Why not just buy Armada Prime?"

Oh man. I should have added the voting option for "I'll take either/both sizes."

Holy shit, if he's NOT a Titan Class, I'll eat my hat. I'm not in on these large bots anymore, but he's gotta be a Titan. Leader Scorp would look foolish next to Titan Metro. I simply can not happen.

Titan or GTFH. How else is he supposed to fight Fortress Maximus?

Leader or GTFO. How else is he supposed to fight against Grimlock or MP Shockwave, or alongside Powermaster Optimus Prime?

Best of both worlds would be a voyager or leader Scorponok that docks into a titan body's chest, but he needs to be a regular size more than he needs to be "LOOK HOW BIG THIS PLASTIC TOY IS" size.

Titan 100% for most of the above stated reasons of his most well known arch rival being titan.

At least with this new TM Optimus that leader Megatron makes sense now..

Well, you know there is a Botcon Skorpoe that scales with them? Titan Fort Max would squash him, and his main rival is Fort Max, so that doesn't really work.

    I agree with Southtownkid.

Botcon Scorponok looks fantastic and is a perfectly good version of the character in Leader scale. It would be a terrible waste if a new Hasbro Scorponok wasn't Titan-class to go alongside Fortress Maximus we're already getting.

Now if you were to ask me whether I wanted a Titan or Leader Fortress Maximus... The answer would be Leader. ...And there's also no way I'd ever vote for a new Scorponok over Titan Trypticon.

True enough, but when you're talking about characters like Scorponok and Fortress Maximus, who vary wildly in size between continuities under the G1 banner, isn't it a little unfair to cut off the fans of one (in this case the ones who like the two to be city-sized) when you've already got one in your preferred size-class?

It's like the people who want a new Rodimus that's not based on MtMtE, despite having Classics and two Masterpieces. You've had your turn. Let other people get theirs. This is all coming from someone who prefers the Leader-size for this character (and as such is someone who has had his turn).
