Since Hasbro has confirmed that Combiner Wars and Titans Returns were part of a trilogy called Prime Wars made by Hasbro and IDW it's been speculated about what will the final part of the Trilogy's theme will be about. Some including myself are thinking that the theme of the 3rd part will be about Beast formers from all eras of the franchise like from G1,Beast Wars,Beast Machines,RID 01,etc. This has been hinted somewhat by the IDW one shot Redemption that focuses strongly on the Dinobots and there are many plot elements to that book that hinted strongly about beasts later on will be playing a large role later on in IDW which will then lead into Generations doing a beast themed line like it being called Beast Warriors,Beast Genesis or something along the lines of that.

If this ends up being the case it'll be a great excuse for Hasbro to finally gives us all the G1 Dinobots and G1 Predacons which was rumored a while back updated and with some new features too. Not to mention it'll also pave the way to give us more updates to BW characters who really needed it the most like Blackarachnia for example. What are your guys thoughts?

Ive suspected the same. That said, I hated Beast Wars so I'll be avoiding those characters unless they we're represented by Sunbow....Predacons, Dinobots, Terrorcons, etc

Now to just get caught up on the comics....I only have IDW Collections 1 & 2 atm. Need to get 3-8 as well as Phase Two 1-2 (& 3 when its released in early 2016)

All I want is predaking and abominus maybe piranacon. I wasn't born in the beast wars era or G1 era but I have a much stronger attachment to G1 then beast wars. So it'll be kinda hard to still want to buy the iffy price of 14.99+ at stores for BW characters.

As far as Blackarachnia is concerned, I think her Legends toy is a fine update, but we do need new versions of other BW characters.

That said, it'd be great if we got some BW homages as well as G1 beast characters like Dinobots, Abominus, Predaking, Piranacon, and maybe Monstructor. Would be a nice way to tie the combiner theme in and give us some of the missing combiners, and if they make new BW toys, that'd be awesome but a little odd that they waited till BW's 21st anniversary rather than its 20th.

unless hasbro starts making more complicated transformations, i'm weary at how beast wars figures would wind up looking.

either way i'd be happy, whether it's a predaking, or beast wars updates.

at this point i think predaking is needed more, then maybe updated versions of megatron and primal.. then dinobot, silverbolt, cheetor, and inferno.

Skullcruncher is much different than a beast wars figure would have to be. Look at rhinox and rattrap. We haven't seen that level of transformation since those two.

So, I'm just wondering if they'd be willing to make figures with more complicated transformations. We'll see.

Perhaps BM in Generations form? I'd love to see Rattrap from BM get a legends, or deluxe figure. That was my favorite design of the character.
If it wasn't Beast Era-influenced, then I'd probably want something that doesn't have to do with Action Masters or anything similar to that.

If nothing else, hopefully Beast Wars would lead to us getting a legends class Kickback! I could see them doing something Beast-y next (they wouldn't call it Beast Wars, I imagine). Probably a mix of BW updates, G1 combiners, and assorted repaints/remolds of both (e.g. a Maximal-homaging combiner made from G1 Decepticon combiner molds).

I'd be ok with the 3rd being all beast.

If they don't address Beast Wars anniversary at least I hope we can see some retools from some of the already existing moulds just like Blackarachnia.

I need a new Airazor like yesterday.

I'm hoping that a Mini-Con centred line, TBH.

I expect we will get Beast Wars :(

By the time we get to "Prime Wars part 3", we're looking at a release in early 2018 (figure Titans launch in mid 2016, runs 18 months). I think that's a bit late to celebrate the Beast Wars Anniversary (I'm more inclined to see some special exclusives offered next year, if anything).

My gut feeling is that, given how the IDW arcs are moving, we'll see some sort of "Galaxy Wars" theme, with the different Transformers colonies and factions (and their associated varying aesthetics) end up waging this big civil war or conflict. Whether Hasbro opts to use this stylistic theme as the core component (like Thrilling 30) or puts focus on another line wide gimmick (like Combiner Wars or Titans Return) remains to be seen.
If nothing else, it could end up a big "end cap" to the current Generations elements and be a big mashup of the varying elements we've seen since 2010.

Beasts don't make sense to me without the idea of a civilization-wide upgrade. And I do not see Hasbro moving away from vehicle-based Transformers, which have been repeatedly proven to be better-selling for the franchise than animals.

I loved Beast Wars, and am one of the few who loved Beast Machines just as much. But I do not think that is where Hasbro is taking the toys.

I also have to say that as much as I loved both those shows, the actual toys appeal to me much less. When I had to cull my collection to the bare essentials last year, I found that the Beast toys were the first and easiest for me to part with. Of a pretty extensive lineup of Beast toys, I think I kept three.

So if the third part of the trilogy IS Beast Wars, I think I will have a year off from collecting as well. It has nothing to do with my enjoyment of the fiction, which as I said, is huge. It's just that in a physical form, beast toys just don't do it for me. It's much more satisfying to me to have a robot that turns into a pretty convincing vehicle than to have a robot that turns into an odd-looking plastic animal.

If its Prime Wars, and the first two parts are Combiners and Headmasters, wouldn't Part 3 be, you know, Primes? Hasbro have 13 of them to play with.

I expect beasts too but I may be too hopeful of Predacons, Seacons, Terrorcons, & BW characters getting updates. BUT I wouldn't mind getting the 13 Primes too as Verno pointed out with the idea of Primes especially since we could finally have a Solus Prime!

That's what I was thinking too cuz Beast Wars doesn't look like where it's headed maybe that's where we finally see the 13 Primes and also the Knights of Cybertron. I agree that it will probably be a mix of everything from all the lines I could see beasts in there too tho but not beasts being the central theme.

While some of the early Beast toys left a lot to be desired (Rattrap, Rhinox and Cheetor from the 1996 BW line had boringly static beast modes and turned into awkward robots with hideous kibble hanging off their asses).

However, you look at Gen Rattrap and Rhinox and what a difference. Fairly convincing beast modes and robot modes that do a good job with show accuracy (as far as they can do without cheating to hide parts like the CGI did). I'd welcome anniversary toys that went with that design, but I'd also be down for new Transmetals.
