Think about it. The giant planet-eating monster we know as G1 Unicron has had only one mold ever released. Every other bit of merchandise was either cancelled or is a statue.

That same mold keep getting reused. Eventually, it will degrade. So why shouldn't there be a new Unicron toy that transforms? The current mold doesn't have such a great planet mode, and I bet modern engineering could fix that.

What do you guys think should happen? Should Unicron get a new mold or no?

Yes, because as it stands Supreme Class Primus is not only rounder than him, but more compact and thus shorter. If anything, Unicron should only be a little smaller than his bro, not significantly taller.

I think we could wait for a decade until another attempt is made. Hopefully it can be the same height as Metroplex and have less kibble

I don't think it's needed. He doesn't get released that often. He has seen less releases than the classics seekers, despite being older, so I doubt it will degrade any time soon.

Shouldn't Unicron be bigger, being an evil entity, not smaller?

A head as playset for legends would be sufficient.

I don't know, his scale is all over the place. In the G1 movie he could land on Cybertron in robot mode with ease. He's at the very least bigger than a moonbase.

There's also the matter of his wingspan, I'd be all for making him bigger than Primus in that regard.

Ok, maybe over 3 feet might be too much. Hasbro probably doesn't want such big packaging to fall on children in the stores.

And trust me, there are probably a lot of parents who buy anything that says "Transformers" on it, so that scenario is possible.

I always thought maybe the severed head turning into a titan class of the full figure might work.

Go check out Arms Micron Unicron. It does exactly that, but smaller.

Yeah... and it's an RID/animated design where he's part rock lord... nothing about that is what I want.

That's what I have alongside my Cyberverse TFP figures. Otherwise for the larger ones I stick with Armada Unicron (never had any real desire to grab the TFTM anniversary version).

That said, I wouldn't mind a new mold if HasTak made him bigger this time; Titan class I suppose would work, but ideally he should be larger even than that. Not that I'd be able to afford one, mind you; I had to save up just to grab Devastator, and I still don't have Metroplex.

What would we call the class size above Titan?

Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology.
We have the capability to make the worlds best titan class toy.
Unicron will be that toy. Better than he was before.

I would love to see them release the Beast Wars Neo Unicron. Upscale him, give him some modern engineering, and I'd be happy with that...for a while.

While I'd be cool with it I think the one we have now is good enough for now. Besides even if there is a new one being made, most fans will complain about how the new mol doesn't hold a candle to the original in every way possible anyway.

I dunno, considering that it took HasTak about 17 years since the character's introduction to finally get a toy of him out of the gate, they could have blundered then and there and I think the result was still pretty spiffy (though that unreleased G1 prototype out there I have to admit has a certain '80s-Hasbro-G1-brick charm to it, and that's before even getting to that gorgeous BW Neo mold). And if Metroplex and Devastator are any indication, a new Unicron even in Titan class would be hard to mess up.
