I'm not writing about the leader class versions. I'm talking about ideas for a deluxe version out of Air Raid/Skydive. I've noticed that the proportions between the original classics mold and combiner wars Air Raid are rather similar aside from the wings and nose cone. So I'm thinking that Hasbro could release a new retool with new wings, seeker cannons, and headsculpt to make a redeco set for Galvatronus to get more mileage from the base of that mold. Even if at the cost of increasing the glut between now and Titan Returns. Any takers here?
I'd be all over it in a second! Funny because it's the lack of proper limbs for Galvatronus that's keeping me from buying him. Had he had proper appendages I'd be all over this .....hear me Hasbro?!?! lol
Yeah I would rather have my Glavatronus Deluxe Limbs than an actual combiner because as Cyclonus the toy is just boring. But Galvatronus is great. Since Victorions main enemy is Galvatronus I presume they will make a wave for him.
I am not sure about that. All the aerialbots are basically blocks hanging off jets. They are ok since they looked like that in G1, but they are not the best jet transformers.
Since there are already so many repaints and slight retools in the CW line, I'm surprised haven't seen something as obvious as the Seekers. Or a CW Scourge for that matter.
Well there was this image of a custom repaint that makes a strong case for an Emperor Starscream combiner.
I am happy with CHUG seekers and if they were going to make something for galvatronus i'd want sweeps
There could be SOME hope in these regards, as a Seeker Combiner just made an appearance in the latest Transformers (ex-RID) comic. Obviously this doesn't mean much, but it's cool to think about.
That's why they could find a way to retool the nose cone to fold in, remold the chest to a more G1/IDW design aside from combiner port, and find a way to allow the wings to rotate as the CHUG version can. It would reduce the block look in robot mode and give an underused mold some more love. Give or take a few more remolding bits to change texture and detailing and it could work for the most part. It be better than the barely changed helicopter and truck. Seriously I wanted better for Blades and Vortex. Then only Victorion gets a slight retool. Still I digress from my personal critques.
I dont think it'd work as a cw 4 deluxe+ voyager combiner. it looks like these guys are made of 4 components (2 ramjet clones and 2 thrust clones each) honestly, considering the size and ability to transform while in combined form, i'd prefer the EDC combiner to be a HEAVY retool of Leader Starscream/Jetfire.
That or it could foreshadow a new combiner with Ramjet and Thrust as components for a scramble city. Though seeing how they combine as if they could transform like AOE Galvatron its probably just show creativity at work. I just wouldn't see how they could retool a conehead to work on a deluxe figure. Either way as long as the wings are correct in design without breaking. Have to wait to see what will come up.
you know I think it is possible to combine Silverbolt with the Aerialbots in vehicle mode to form a makeshift combined aerial form similar to the Conehead combiner alt mode.
Okay I think we have a contender for official combiner limbs that could match up to Optimus Maximus and Sky Reign. I will admit that expecting the wings to be retooled in Starscream's mold to be more G1 was asking a bit much yet I really dig how they made Thrust's head fit for G1 iterations rather than just the Unicron Trilogy.
