I really love the Metroplex mold, and if hasbro decides to retool him to become Fort Max, I'll be sure to grab one!

Do you guys think theyll retool him anytime soon even though they already have a mold for fort max as a tank (from the CW lineart)?

Metroplex is likely being retooled as FortMax. I'm not sure if Hasbro would sell him *and* Metroplex at the same time.

Judging by the promo art, Fort Max will be next year's Titan class figure and an original mold.

I think if anyone does a recolor of Metroplex, it will be TakaraTomy if they do a Metrotitan. But it's hard to say since I don't think either Hasbro or TT want to try to sell two Titan figures at the same time.

Though anything is possible, I am with you on this. The price point for the Titan Class figures are so high, 2 at the same time would be a bad business move. The next one we see will likely be Feb-Mar of next year since Devastator is still available.

Right now, Hasbro seems content doing one Titan class figure per year. Despite the name "Titans Return", I doubt they will change that up and risk a misstep. That said, they did say a couple years ago that they were planning to alternate factions each year. This year was Devastator...next year is Fort Max...2017 could easily be Metrotitan to cap the Titans Return line with a 2Q release. Then, we might have to wait until 3Q 2018 for the Prime Wars Trilogy titan to be released. If they go Beast Bots for the third part, Predaking could be an option...but that would throw off the A/D switching. I dunno...something completely unexpected perhaps?

Im just a bit confused because the lineart shown for Fort Max indicates an IDW look (as a tank due to the treads)....

So are we getting 2 Fort Maxs, a Titan and a voyager/leader?

I would love an IDW-scaled FortMax.

He'll probably have a city mode and a tank mode as that appears to be the trend for all the bots over the deluxe size, being triple changers.

Some people think that the lineart looks like a retool of the Metroplex mold. Some of the details do match up, so the idea isn't entirely without merit. Iit would seem to be pretty heavily retooled though if that's the case.

I'm still very bummed that Metroplex never got a Metrotitan recolor. Come on Takara and E-Hobby, it's the kind of cash-grab repaint that everyone complains about! But I have cash and I want you to grab it!

I think Metroplex gets remolded to Fort Max and then into Scorpinox.

isnt it possible that with the price originally of Metroplex, and it seems unanimous that there IS a new mold fort max..

That because costs of design and development were already put out..a straight up repaint of Metroplex into MetroTitan could be released at a slightly lower pricepoint?

I mean..The whole line says TitanS...There should be a bad guy, BIG guy..If they dont do trypticon or Scorponok(which seems fitting with the headmaster theme) A repaint of Metroplex, slightly cheaper would work?

If Im thinking of all the BLACK parts molded with Metroplex..
    Drop Scamper
    Drop Shoulder guns/pistols
    Different head
Drop extending shoulder guns make filler panels

Just make a new parts tree with new hands, Head and a gun, and release it for $80.

BAM...big bad guy to go with Titans Return on the cheap if they dont do a now mold Scorp or Tryp.

Who is Scorpinox? If you're referring to Scorponok, it's unlikely (not impossible) that he'd ALSO be a remold of Metroplex. I do think that Scorponok is a likely candidate for the 2017 Titan Class figure, though, since Titans Return will still be running...
