So, obviously they made those Titan Master guys, and they're basically just floating heads unless you decide to put them in/combined with their vehicles. Or make somebody else a floating head. But floating heads are pretty cool, in any case. Anyhoo... If they want to release Horri-Bull or Nightbeat, they could just give them an alternate Headmaster and you could choose which face to give them, depending on which you prefer. Just an idea I put no thought into whatsoever.
i don't know about anyone else, but i'm gonna mix 'n' match the heads more than the combiner wars figures.
I can see a few options here (in approximate order of my guess at likelihood): 1. They will release some of Nightbeat, et al with slightly different, but appropriate, heads ('toon, comic or toy accurate) than the Titan Master releases. The variety of options makes fans quite happy. Even the anti-Hasbro crowd applauds a decent gimmick. 2. They will release some of Nightbeat, et al with these exact same heads as the Titan Master release. A subset of fans will complain about being forced to double dip, but many figure that spending $5 for extra heads and little vehicles is not worth complaining about. 3. They release no bodies for these heads. Some fans will die inside, while others go on "I told you so" tours of every Titans Return thread. 4. They release, say, Nightbeat at retail, then release Siren, Minerva and Go Shooter using the same body mold through various exclusive channels (FunPub, BBTS exclusive). Some fans become apoplectic about being forced to "spend more money on cheap toys" while others are accused of propping up a corrupt system for buying them. TFW splinters into two separate forums after uncontrollable internet rioting.
The toys come with comic accurate heads, basically the current siren and Nightbeat head molds switched. If you buy the now announced heads you can have toy or comic accurate head as you wish. Win win.
Even with these heads I still want Horribull, Siren, & Nightbeat. Oh & if we can get Minerva then I'll take two.
I still think we are going to get these figures in Deluxe scale with either generic/alt heads. I think it is a decent gimmick idea for kids to have extra heads. I wouldn't doubt if we see Nightbeat. Seems like it isn't much of a stretch for it to be retooled into Siren. Hell, they could do Minerva and Go Shooter from it. Think we are just seeing the tip of the iceberg in our first day reveals. No need to base final conclusions yet.
i want an arcee deluxe, but i'll take a head too. also can't wait to see skullcruncher get repainted into prime, then the official head goes on him(if the rumors are %100 true, fingers crossed)
To be honest they could redeco Loudmouth's head into Nightbeat alone since the open mouth is more along Siren's default expression. Though the extra detailing with ear antenna to make it more comic/show accurate would be welcomed for any of them. Either way I just want more transtector body molds to pop up if they're this great. Maybe even a throwback to Autobot Master Warriors while adding a set for Decepticons. They could redeco some good bodies alone for fans and collectors on the market as well. It be toy version of an OC generator to an extent. Those extra vehicles feel as a spiritual successor to Micromaster/Action Master vehicles. Now to show off some Targetmaster designs for Misfire and Scourge. If they can make a space cannon/jet outta Galvatron what can they add in for Scourge while keeping it a flying bathtub. XD LOL
Seeing the new Galvatron figure makes me wonder if we might see a voyager Rodimus with Hot Rod as his head. Maybe the upcoming Masterpiece figure precludes that, but they did release Leader and Masterpiece Ultra Magnus pretty close together.
Well the Transmissions podcast rumored that we would get a Rodimus, thr rest of the 86' cast and Alpha Trion... and also everything thay has been revealed in the past 24 hours so I'd say we are!
So are some heads not going to receive bodies? It would be neat if we could get some options between the faceplate-US headmasters and the non-faceplate-Japanese headmasters...
