I have only recently had the pleasure of making Duron Land’s acquaintance, but in that short time he has proved himself to be a knowledgeable and well-connected collector, as well as another example of the good people we have in the community. Not only does he host the very popular TFYLP podcast, but he’s also an expert photographer and has become a regular supporter of the TFSource blog and related articles. I’ve had the honour of appearing on the TFYLP podcast, so it was only fitting that Duron lend his experience, knowledge and expertly curated Transformers collection to the Source Blog.

Nice read and nice collection Weirdwolf. I'm surprise that you have Fort Max on the top shelf. I figure it would be too heavy.

It's amazing how many collections I do actually see with Fort Max quite high up, sometimes on the top shelf where there's usually more vertical clearance.

Very good stuff, thanks as always to Maz for the piece, and to Weirdwolf for sharing. The collectors who have been in the game for a long time all tend to deliver a similar message of gold - collect what you love. It can be hard to focus on that, but it is great advice.

Interesting prediction on the hobby too - that G1 fans will continue to age and eventually de-emphasized, as as happened with the GI Joe brand and the older generation that grew up on the 12'inch figures. I selfishly hope that G1 will always remain relevant, but who knows?

Also, I had been planning to cancel my order for United Warriors Menasor, but seeing him posed in your Detolf looking that awesome has changed my mind. Ugh, to heck with space issues, it looks like an awesome figure!

Get the Perfect Effect hands and feet for Menasor too. The feet especially really help with his poseability.

As someone who's been in the game for the better part of 30 years, I'm also in the process of retooling my TF collection to "collect what I love." Great advice. There are far too many figures and lines out there to get everything.

Thanks Maz and Weirdwolf. As I've stated numerous times, I always look forward to seeing more of these interviews. Mr. Land has an interesting amalgam of bots in his cabinets, but clearly they all hold a special place for him.

BTW, Fort Max deserves to be positioned up high, so visitors can gape in awe at his splendor! :)
(Seriously, whenever someone sees my collection room for the first time, he's always the first one they ask about).
