I find it tricky to really enjoy my figures. Seldom to I pull out a Transformer, put it on a table in a quiet room and just go to town.

I used to love fiddling with one while watching a movie or having the TV on in the background but I started to notice that the content of the movie was "imprinted" on the toy and associations would become mixed in. Next time I picked up the toy, I would remember details about whatever movie I was watching...kinda weird but I know I'm not the only one who experiences that.

So how do you enjoy them? Do you have a particular time of day/setting that you get to spend time with them?

How much time to you spend with a particular figure? What figure have you spent the most time with?

    Any thoughts are welcome.

To me, I use mine sort of as rubik's cube.
I pull one out from the shelf every now and then and transform him. Pose it and leave it on a desk for display for a while. Then, some time later, I will grab another one and so on.

I spend more time looking at them than actually "playing with them"

Right now, it's tfc hercules that is on my computer desk and my mp's on my bookcase.

Mine are always desk toys. I have shelves for a display and I rotate my desk toys in and out, and I have my favorites. I love the puzzle play, and I love figuring out a new figure and learning the transformation. After that, I enjoy committing it to memory - the deep learning. Then, generally, it will go on the shelf, and will come out again if it was a lot of fun to go back and forth, or if it looked awesome, or was otherwise fun to play with.

Examples are G1 Tracks - I just got him for a second time recently. First time I had him was a not great shape but intact body, and he was pretty cool. The one I have now is the reissue, got him new, and he's as fantastic as he believes he is. This toy is super fun to transform. It's quick and easy, and that Corvette is TO DIE FOR. He has every right to be vain.

Perfect Effect's Warden is a great example of a great figure that I actually don't like to transform. I never thought I'd say that. Transformers are the only action figures I have any interest in, and that's because they transform. OK - if I find other transforming figures, it'll get my attention. Warden is a pain in the ass to transform, but holy crap, what a fucking AWESOME figure! He gets quite a bit of desk time.

I just installed the Nonnef hip ratchets on my CW Superion and Menasor. It helps Superion, but it's a drastic improvement to Menasor, so I've got the Stunticons on my desk now, and I've been playing with and posing them. They're lots of fun. Breakdown used to be my least favorite, but he's actually growing on me a lot right now.

My toys are played with and loved. I also take very good care of them (so if if I'm selling, you can buy with confidence!). I transform them, I pose them, if I find something wrong with them, I try to fix it. Floor polish and small screwdrivers work miracles.

These toys look amazing, too, so I can't hold anything against people who only display them because they look cool. They do. That's not my thing, but if it's your's, then as long as that's what makes you happy, then I'm happy for you.

I like to play with my toys.

Well, I used to take all my toys out and make a big dogpile in my room and play out a huge battle scenario but I haven't done that since I was in elementary school. Ok, maybe a bit into junior high as well.

These days, I mostly pose, transform, photo and then look at to enjoy my figures. I've got display shelves in almost every room in my house.

The other thing I find a lot of enjoyment from is talking about the figures I get or am interested here with you guys! Something I never did before this year.

That imprinting you mentioned is a real thing. To this day, when I hear a certain 80's song, it reminds me of G1 Optimus Prime. That song was playing on the radio at the I was opening my Prime for the very first time in '84.

I wait until someone on the board tells me I can play with them, and then wait to make sure I'm not doing it wrong. Then, I play with them until I'm told not to.

I enjoy them by watching them standing posed behind the glass. Seldom when I have some time, I pick one up And play with him. Mostly Rodimus and starscream.

The last question I forgot to answer. I mess with Megatron (MX-I) and Soundwave the most.

I tend to mess with mine frequently. I transform mine because I have PTSD and it tends to calm me down when I get agitated. My son loves it. Some times he gets a repeat that I have.

Mine tend to stay in their display cases in the basement. I change their poses and positions more than I transform them, but sometimes I get them out to show my 7-year-old daughter how to transform them.

This is the perfect answer! :lol

As for enjoying them, I do all day. I like to write about them, to create backstories and build their character, so even when I'm not at home with them I'm still thinking about them, and when I get home no matter what I'm doing I have them in my immediate range of sight. Their's nothing more beautiful I could stare at anyways. :lol

Sometimes they are distracting when I play games though, I could be in the middle of a battle in Skyrim and stop immediatly to combine Defensor.

In terms of Transformations. I don't know, I just figure them all out instantly and always remember every part. I like to build renders of them in my mind so when I'm at work or something I can imagine them in a pose they could actually pull off, or create a fight scene in my mind. I love my Transformers, so naturally their always a part of everything I do.

I tend not to have favorites, but the new Combiners are just so much fun! I guess I mess with them the most.
