I agree. I'm sure it would be easy to retool MP-09, even going as far as to making new parts so it just turns into Rodimus Prime and the Winnebago, not Hot Rod and the car. I hope they do this or make an all new Rodimus Prime.

I guess when MP-09 came out, it was very exciting because of all the features and complex stuff going on. And if it didn't have the QC issues, it would have been one of the great masterpieces. So it's dissapointing from that perspective. MP-10 then came out and was perfect...BUT...with a tad fewer features, like they learned their lesson, lol.

On a sidenote, with some glue and diecast knees, I am able to play with the rodimus again, but transforming him is too hard for me. I'll try again getting him into the car mode eventually.

 

and they've had practice now on how to do it better with all the subsequent figures. Like, star saber is kind of like rodimus in the features, so is MP-10. So using the lessons learned, they can still do mp-09 and just fix the problems and have possibly an amazing, complex toy.

make the knees metal, and the pegs around them metal or really solid plastic. have the arms tuck in more easily and tightly with a tab or something. fix the slot problem. fix those panel pegs that fall off so easily. it's not that hard it seems. it reminds me of the bumber portion of MP-10...if you can do something like that so well, do the same with MP-09.

 

I see where you're going, but if they made an all-in-one Rodimus I'm pretty sure they'd have to reengineer him from the ground up. Everything about the MP-09 figure is all about turning into the Hot Rod car. Rodimus Prime's alt is just a separate shell. Two completely different shapes.
