Hi, I still am in need of the seeker mold in my collection. I have CW leader megatron, voyager optimus prime, deluxe bumblebee voyager Blitzwing and so on as some of my main figures. I was wondering if the deluxe seeker mold (FoC to be exact) is too small for the seekers. I wasn't sure on the idea of masterpiece or something for the seekers because of price, I could get Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker for the price of one MP seeker. Thanks!

It kinda is, but at the same time the Leader Class is too large. Just get whichever figure you prefer.

Yeah, but scale is all over the place anyway.

They deffo size badly against Leader Megatron, but Leader Megatron is too big!

IIRC they were fine against Classics Voyager Megatron, but it all depends if you like the Nerf gun. My Henkei Voyager Megs is nice, but it has chrome issues. I guess Hasbro just want us to buy the Leader Seeker guys for our Leader Megatrons.

Yes. The seeker mold should be Voyager sized. The Leader mold is too large.

Personally I think it is too small. I recently sold all my Classics Seekers. Its a pity. I like the mold but I try and keep some semblance of vehicle scale in my collection based on G1 Prowl.

Having recently gotten Leader Jetfire, I do feel the Leader Seekers scale nicely with what I'm looking for. I like the Masterpiece Seeker mold but can't justify the price. I'm hoping at some stage to pick up MP Acid Storm and Sunstorm.

It's a pity because I'd love large versions of the likes of Nacelle and Hot link but the scale bugs me.

I hate deluxe cars as I feel they're too big. Pity because I'd love a Kick Off, Hot Rod, Blurr and Nightbeat that scaled with the Dia clones.

I think scale is in the eye of the beholder.

I'd be lying if I said scale didn't play any part in my collection but what I consider more than scale is how much I love a mold. I'd rather have fun figures I like in my collection and have them out of scale vs. having figures I hate but keep them just to be in scale.

I love the classics seeker mold and have all six of the classics seeker characters and they are not going anywhere even though they don't scale right to others. Same goes with Energon Galvatron. I'd rather have him on my Classics shelf because I like him better than TFU 2.0 Galvatron.

The problem is simple: fans care about scale, but Hasbro doesn't.

Thankfully, the solution is equally simple: buy figures made by fans.

There are numerous third-party products to suit your scale needs, whether they're CHUG, Masterpiece, or Legends. iGear's Voyager seekers, for example, use the F-22 Raptor designs featured in IDW's comics, and they released all six regulars (including the coneheads) almost simultaneously. It takes years for Hasbro to fill our seeker ranks (if they ever get around to it at all...), and they're usually poorer designs anyway.

Seriously, why restrict yourself to inferior retail offerings?

Scale and size are relative from person to person. To me, the seeker size is dependent on the Megatron you're using. The deluxe mold would be far too small next to CW leader Megatron, but should look ok next to the Classics nerf Megatron or maybe the WFC Megatron. Like Tekering above, I have Hegemon as my classics Megatron, flanked by the Raptor Squadron.

I would definitely prefer voyager size but the FOC deluxe do the job fine till they make an appropriate (official) voyager replacement.

I am not paying $300+ for 3 Voyager figures.

None of them are "too" anything except as a matter of personal opinion. Go with what works for you.

I love my deluxe Seekers and that fact that I the size class gave me a fairly exhaustive set of the named characters, but I can't wait to have the original trio as Leaders as well. I don't care about specific "scaling," I just want a nice range of sizes for my displays, and 'bots with jet altmodes are a logical choice for a larger scale - again, just IMO.

it's much too small.. but then again the leader version sucks, and your scale is already wacked with leader megatron + voyager prime.. so, do what you want.

i really wish hasbro would've given us a brand new properly sized voyager seeker mold rather than retooling an already awful jetfire mold into an even more cheap looking seeker mold. it's such a terrible treatment for such classic/favorite characters.

The new leader CW seeker molds coming out are the same size as the mp seekers, and leader Megatron if mp seekers price is an issue.

Deluxe is too small, but the deluxe price point is what allowed it to be repainted so much that I have a seeker army.

I'm not at all concerned much with scale. I get figures that look good and play well, and the deluxe Seekers fit well in that regard to me.

Yes it should have been a voyager size from the beginning, BUT I have come to accept it as a deluxe now. The smaller size has allowed it to be easily repainted a record number of times, bringing us so many characters, including obscure and unreleased toys. I can fit an entire Seeker army on my shelf which would not have been possible with a larger size. The deluxe seeker mold looks great with other deluxe Decepticons such as the Combiner wars limbs, Thunderwing, Cyclonus, Scourge, Straxus, Jhiaxus, Astrotrain and Octance, Music Label Soundwave, etc (Of course the argument can be made that most of these should be voyager as well but it is what it is).

    No.

They still fit in perfectly fine with most CW figures.
In fact...I'd say the Classics seeker mold figures fit better on the shelf
next to CW Aerial bots, than those new Leader class seekers.
