Well, I got my Leader Class Jetfire from Amazon a few days ago, and both the box (around the copyright and UPC) and instructions (a set of instructions, it also comes with the English set) are in a Asian language (Japanese? Mandarin? Korean?). The odd thing is it's the US Jetfire Box and the US Paint Aps (Chrome weapons)
The UPC says it was rebadged for marketing outside of the US and Japan, my guess is it was meant for The Philippines or Singapore. It looks like you got it through a 3rd party seller on Amazon, the main seller on the Jetfire page right now is Toynk, and it's possible they sourced their pieces through a distributor who just sent them the product from wherever. I've gotten pieces from 3rd party sellers like that at conventions a few times, as long as the toy inside is fine it doesn't bother me. Photos would help ID it faster, obviously.
Honestly..I have a theory. Around here in michigan, we had Leader jetfires EVERYWHERE. Seriously..just about every store had them. Then. POOF. gone. I know someone didnt buy them all at once. I think that hasbro called a return to vendor on that item, and they will be repackaged in the new CW lines. Think about this. Leader Jetfire is the ONLY leader class toy to get a 30th box. Im not a MISB collector, but is it possible that a boxed leader jetfire in a 30th box is pretty damn rare now? I have not seen one in stores since about 2 weeks after they were sighted around here, and have NOT seen one since. I think they are all reboxed for a revision wave in CW boxes.
Buybacks from Hasbro don't get reboxed, it's too expensive to move them from package to package. They either get liquidated or have extra packaging elements slapped on for sale in other countries, which is possibly what we're seeing here.
Jetfire didn't get a UK release.. Then all of a sudden it starts to show up in UK discount chain called B&M.
The extra sticker on the bottom is just like how we get our Doctor Who figures from Character Options, UK packaging with an added safety and import info sticker from Underground Toys - the company that distributes them overseas.
