Also good points:: here's more what I was getting at (I think this might be a better analogy) do these sets count as a "wave" of 1 voyager, 1 legend and 4 deluxes, or do you count them more as stand alones, ala the old Super/Supreme class (Unicron/Primus/ROTF Devastator)

I could easily see how you could make a case either way.

I see the point you're making now, however no matter how you class them they would still technically constitute a "wave" each. Example being energon omega supreme and unicron. For that size class unicron would have been wave 1 and omega supreme would have been wave 2. So while the individual release waves may be done you could say g2 superion is "box set wave 1", menasor "box set wave 2" etc etc. if that's the case then combiner wars all together will still last at least 12 waves total with 6 being individual releases and at least 6 box sets, assuming liokaiser is labeled as combiner wars and not platinum (he was on a platinum box cross sell so this is a possibility)

Thats the first i hear of "Combiner Force", though i too hope we will see more online CW or UW boxsets released even after the Leokaiser set.
I also hope the will do the same for TR and the third part of Prime Wars.

Agreed on all counts except for the "all i want out of TR" part ;)

I don't disagree with this analysis, necessarily - when Hasbro does something new, it's hard to figure out if it's a one-time thing or a new pattern. It wouldn't surprise me if they keep doing ~$100 box sets for awhile. It also wouldn't surprise me if they are only CW box sets for the foreseeable future - maybe Liokaiser is followed by a Diaclone set from the Autobot cars, then they release the oft-rumored Seeker combiner, then Hasbro ponies up for one or two new molds/remolds and we get the rest of the Ark crew, then we get the Demolisher head on Onslaught w/some Armada Trilogy limb decos, etc.

What would be the equivalent to the box sets w/TR molds we know about, though? You could flip the beast headmasters into BW homages. You could do slight retools to Blurr and Brainstorm into the Autobot clones. Past that, you start needing to retool every mold and/or giving them new heads we haven't seen yet to get a cohesive box set (which only happened for Victorion) - almost none of these characters in the rumors have obvious Diaclone or G2 alternate decos (like the three G2 sets)

Could just be themed sets, we've heard rumors about the "Speed Set" and "Strength set"....

Sure. This is pure conjecture, but I would guess that the stronger the tie-in between the figures in a set, the better they sell (as an example, I'd love to know how well TFSS 4.0 sold compared to the other subscriptions with less cohesive themes). The speed and strength sets seem to be thematic in the way that Cybertron's toyline had different themes, but not thematic in the sense of the 1986 movie Platinum sets. No idea if that makes an actual difference in terms of sales.

As a side note, if HasTak plan on revisiting combiners after Titans Return, it'd make a ton of sense to keep pushing out CW molds in box sets with some remolds (like Strafe), some of the unused heads and tooling (Seekers) and the occasional new mold (Jazz or Sideswipe, perhaps).

Status at DorkSideToys changed from pending to processing.

Noticed they had the leaders in stock.

Sent a email asking if or when Optimus Prime will ship.

Does anyone know what the supposed "DIECAST" figue is going to be yet, r where it's going to supposedly be an exclusive to?

I wonder of DIECAST is just the name of the figure, rather than what it's made out of. :lol

And by Diecast I also wonder if it's just anther Statue or something instead of being a toy. would make alt more sense. (another officially licensed sentinel figure/statue? or perhaps some movie figure statue from the upcoming bayformers 5?)

(I added my two cents to the character's backstory. Because the die has already been cast.)

I haven't been paying attention to RID rumours, but did we get any word about Starscream before the toy was revealed? If so, any other rumours about what is coming up in RID? I think I'm more interested in new Warrior decepticons than most of Titans Return for now.

I'm eager to see the rumored Kup, Perceptor, and legends class Bumblebee.

Will we see anything at SDCC?

I get the feeling that Cybertron Con will be the place where Hasbro will do their upcoming Generations reveal line up because that would actually explain why we don't have a panel at SDCC at least from what we know so far.

You are probably right. And I was so excited for SDCC's toy reveals, too ...
