pretty much figured/called this in various threads, nice to see it panning out and getting "confirmation" though. Now, how will the release be handled: Replacing CW next Summer or running concurrent with CW starting in winter (both under "Generations" late with TW taking over the Leader and Legends size classes while CW continues with Deluxe/Voyager)

Yeah, i'm fairly certain the story conceit of Titan Wars will be the "headmasters" are actually supposed to be standard size Transformers piloting these gigantic Titan bodies ~ i.e., roughly to scale with Metroplex/Fort max BUT (going off of Blaster) Hasbro is also making them at such a scale that you can just keep them mixed in with your normal CHUG figures as their "regular sized" selves. essentially it becomes 2 scales in one.

I hope we get new versions of some of the classic Head/Powermasters in this line eventually: loved some of those designs, but man most of the toys were terribly executed (and Brainstorm showed what they can do)

A new Voyager Soundwave & Blaster are most welcome, since I've been waiting & waiting for definitive Classics versions of each for some time (the FoC Voyagers don't work for me as stand-ins, and the WfC Soundwave lacks its traditional redecos/remolds).

I'd also love to see a new Voyager Shockwave & Galvatron; even if Shockwave's a tank, it'd be nice to have a "definitive" version of him and a better official Galvatron be offered.

I wonder if this focus on "-master" type figures means we could get a Headmaster Chromedome too.

    My guess, considering Leaders and (most) Legends have nothing to do with combiners, this concept will continue. So from Hasbro perspective they may go about looking at it like this;

    Combiner War
    Deluxe
    Voyagers

    Titan Wars
    Legends
    Leaders
    Titans

Also considering how Blaster looks and that the Ultra Magnus figure has around 90% of the robot mode being the trailer, it is my guess that Powermaster Optimus mold's trailer will be COMPLETELY different with the addition of a base mode to match up with the class' base gimmick.

Now if we take it a step further, consider that before Ultra Magnus was released their was an inside source stating that the leader class figure had a very "G1" look to it and not very "IDW". This could have been a result of seeing an early production of the figure's cab that will ultimately turn out to be Leader Optimus Prime's.

I'd guess TW & CW run together for the whole year. CW has deluxe and voyager while TW has leader & titan. Legends will have a mix of CW molds(Shockwave, Wreckgar), TW molds(Buzzsaw, Stripes, Eject) and some more re-uses of pre-CW/TW molds(Pipes, Ransack).

So, really, to me. it looks like the entirety of TW in 2016 will be:
    -Titan:
    --Fort Max

    -Leader:
    --Blaster
    --Soundwave
    --PMOP
    --Astrotrain
--Possible 5th leader would be an Astrotrain re-use or Soundblaster/Twincast

    -Legends:
--Blaster/Soundwave minions with 3 modes each: "mobile device", robot/beast, and some vehicle/weapon that interacts with bases/Headmasters

--The rumor of "head packs" I'd also guess would be like ~2-4 Headmasters at the Legends pricepoint.

Maybe there's a chance there will be some Titan Wars voyagers too...

If the line art from Botcon is anything to to by, Soundwave and Blaster are both a foot tall. That makes even more sense when you think about them fitting Legends figures in them.

yeah, seem's like we are all on the same page :)

i could see CW 'bleeding' into Titan Wars ~ i.e. CW keeps going at the Deluxe/Voyager scale for at least 6 months of 2016 (Bruticus/Sky Reign/??? ~ We know the first 2 waves, at least 1 more seems likely) and then TW gradually starts to take over...

I see the Remold Wars will continue. It's just hard to get excited about toys you already essentially own as someone completely different. I hope some day we can get new molds again.

I'm interested in the Powermaster Optimus, Fort Max (if the alt mode isn't a complete rehash of Metroplex) and legends cassette dudes, not so much everything else.

It might be simplier than that. I think Hasbro will just change the label. Just as some toy in the "Combiner Wars" package are not combiners, some figures in Titan Wars packages will not be Titans of part of their gimmick. The name change is something Hasbro does to sell toys to the stores, who insist on there being a new "label" on the shelves every year or two.

So we will probably continue to get Combiner Wars style combiners in the Deluxe and Voyager Classes, but the package will say "Titan Wars" after late 2016. Remember Combiner Wars and Titan Wars are all just sub classifications of "Transformers: Generations".

IMO the reason that they won't show the pics is that by showing the pics, it might be apparent to Hasbro which department/subsidiary the leak is coming from as toy development may be spread out between various different departments in the company.

They don't know anything for sure, except the guy who has an idea who his informant is (who obviously wants to stay anonymous). Everything is to be taken as rumor, but they seem pretty sure it's a reliable source.

I question their use of the term "remold," though. That's a different discussion, though. ;)

Powermaster Optimus Prime was not n the Botcon art.

Obviously if it's like Springer and Sandstorm, they were co-molded with both characters in mind.

So you think they will distinctly identify the figure's catagory (titan or combiner) on the package? If I was Hasbro I would worry that might be a bit confusing.

By distinguishing by class (combiners deluxes and voyagers/titans legends and leaders) it would make the process easier for the consumer. Of course I am not going to tell Hasbro how to do their job :) .

that is a HUGE relief. So I guess yay Astrotrain, yay Powermaster Optimus Prime (sans apex armor).

This is twice now where we've gotten Optimus as a remolded figured. I would have really hoped that they would've given him a unique mold for the first Leader figure we've gotten of him since forever.

Although I understand your passion for the character (I love Optimus too:) ), what does it really matter?

Optimus and Magnus have been sharing molds since the very beginning way back when the toys were first released in the 1980s, complaining about it would be like complaining about Starscream or Prowl being a remold of Thundercracker or Blustreak respectively. At least for the sake of loose scale Optimus combining with his trailer make a bit more sense.

I hardly consider it a "remolded figure", but co-molded, they must have designed them both at the same time. Just because one hits store shelves first doesn't make the other a "remold".

No, I think the opposite. That after a certain date all figures will change from "Transformers: Generations Combiner Wars" to "Transformers: Generation Titan Wars", no matter what the toys actually do, because the label is just there to sell new toys to Target and Toys R Us.

Do you remember when the 2007 movie line was hot? Hasbro tired to sell Walmart a set of exclusive Universe Deluxes, but Walmart insisted it wanted more movie toys, so Hasbro just stuck the movie logo on the Universe toys packages. The label is just a sales gimmick to make the stores think they are getting something new.

Sure, great, maybe, whatever. But who cares about the pacakge label? I think the point of saying this pricepoint is CW, this pricepoint is TW, etc. is talking about the contents of the package, what kind of figure it is.

If there's a wave of 4 deluxes that become limbs and a voyager that becomes a torso, I really could not care less if the box says "Titan Wars".

Although there is a precedent at Hasbro :: the most recent Star Wars Saga Legends line had regular movie figures as well as Star Wars Rebels figures, and while the packaging was mostly the same, they did swap out the logo based on what was inside: I could potentially envision them doing that here, especially since the CW logo is just a little tab on the upper corner - that said, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if what Scalewise said is correct.
