Just scored a G2 Grimlock at a flea market for a steal. It's in great condition with stickers aside from a little dust here and there. I'm wondering how to keep it clean and looking good, without damaging any of its parts or stickers. Thanks.
The joints are good? Because fixing joints is a must, but it can be kinda easy on G1 figures. I'd start by getting a Qtip and some water and start cleaning it. Followed by a can of compressed air to BLOOOOOOOOOW it dry/and clean.
dont play with it much either. less wear less tear. i know you want to display it but keep it out of direct sunlight and away from kids. children should only play with their transformers. its how they learn respect for other peoples belongings. but seriously, g2 hmm? teal or blue? you may have found a gem! maybe head on over to reprolabels and see what they have too.
A VERY SOFT bristled paint brush is good for keeping collections and shelves dusted. Got a really nice and soft one at lowe's for about $13 bucks. A brush will break up and remove that layer of dust film. It worked for my neglected G2 Megatron I've had since release.
Blue, haha. The guy had some cool boxed Terminator figures too, but I needed that Grimlock. He wanted $10 but I got it down to $6 and considering it has stickers and everything in nice condition, he was so worth it. The joints are pretty good, but one of the arms/legs is a bit loose, nothing too bad, though.
