    We have nearly 7 versions of Evasion Optimus Prime (not including Nemesis Prime). Which is (are) the ones you recommend getting?

    * Regular Hasbro release
    * Takara release
    * Platinum (chromed and faceplate) version with Grimlock
    * Japan TRU Rusty version
    * Evolution 2-pack version
    * Farmegaddeon (sp) Rusty version
    * Platinum United 5-pack version

    Get the Japanese Rusty version. It's the most movie-accurate version of the mold I've seen.
    Although Nemesis Prime is still the best use of the mold in my book.

    I don't have (and haven't seen more then a glimpse of) Japan TRU Rusto, so I can't say how great it is, but the Farm 3-Pack version is pretty fantastic and good enough for me, especially at the price I got him. Wasn't a fan of the mold, but a decent "movie accurate" paint scheme does wonders. Guessing the Japan TRU version is even better.

    I'm honestly tempted to say you can't go wrong with the mould, but I'd personally recommend the Takara standard. Neither rusty versions are all that appealing. Farmegaddeon isn't really rusty, and the Takara rusty Prime is anythign but accurate in 'bot mode. (though of the two, the Hasbro one at least attempts a two-toned faded paint look to emulate the film, and has the coolest flames)

    A multiple choice option would be great for this..

    My favourite are the standard Takara and the Autobots United. The evolution one is decent as well.
    If you want Rusty Prime I prefer the Hasbro Farmegeddon release.

    If you want it mainly for the DOTM Megatron shotgun then get wither the Hasbro or Takara standards.

    I'd just go with the regular Hasbro release, unless you really want a rusty version. None of the others really look all that much better IMO - at least not to justify the extra cost and hassle.

    And yes on that KO but it is awfully big - I'd still probably get a regular one too.

    Yeah, Takara standard, no question. Perfection.

    I think it's funny and depressing at the same time ROTF Defender Optimus Prime, a redeco most people hated at the time, might actually be the closest to the screen version of 'rusty' Prime.... :eek:  :eek:  :eek:

    Oh well.

    Personally I own the Takara standard and the Rusty Prime deco. The Farmageddon one would be the coolest imo, but the dark blue/black plastic kind of ruins the look. Same goes for Takara Rusty, which does the opposite: make the toy too light.

    Still, I'd get either one of those two, it beats another red + blue Prime (bur if you prefer that: Takara standard!)

    I only have the standard release and the Farmeggedon Hasbro 3-pack release and I can't have enough of the mold. I'd say at least get either of those two.

    It's really a hard choice, because there's no "perfect" version in my opinion. He looks great in G1 colors, but none of the rusty versions are just right. The Japanese TRU version looks amazing in truck mode, but the bot mode is just too white. And the Farmageddon version's lower legs are just a bit too dark for my liking, and he's missing the flames on his chest.

    Not sure. The Hound they did was affordable. I think you can get one off eBay for about $30. It's a steal at that price.
