The 30th anniversary for the 86 movie is coming up next year. My question is, do you expect to see any toys from this? Another armada Unicron repaint? New g1 styled optimus prime? Could hasbro finally release a non nerf gun megatron? Should I bother getting my hopes up?

 

MP Starscream may have some sort of 30th logo on his box.

 

I'd think:

New Galvatron
New Rodimus
New Dinobots(?)
Maybe some rereleases of past figures

Though, it's really just one (not very good) really long episode from one series. It didn't bring in new fans like Beast Wars, the Unicron Trilogy, Robots in Disguise, etc. It was just a really long episode.

 

I would love some more updates on the Movie cast - but as long as they keep the vehicle/alternate forms the same. They are just as iconic as the robots to me.

 

A new Rodimus is a must.

Hasbro has released plenty of non "Nerf" gun Megatrons since the classics version, and if they are going to make movie toys he was Galavatron in 99% of the movie.

I don't know why they would make a special batch of toys for the anniversary when they are making a lot of the characters in combiner wars.

I'm thinking stickers are going to be put on the boxes.

They might release that legends that was Gnash or Gnaw in that list of 2 packs in a movie anniversary line.

I'm not sure how you think a mass released movie didn't bring in new fans to the franchise.

Hasbro hasn't released a realistic gun megatron in almost 30 years, and for good reason. It's not going to happen.

That would be nice provided it's better/more G1 accurate than the Armada version, which I actually liked quite a bit.

 

I don't see anything from hasbro. With combiner wars and soon Titan wars there is no room in the budget plus a lot of the 86 characters got figures recently already. There is that legends rodimus, leader Magnus, deluxe arcee, voyager springer, and voyager cyclonus. Out of all of those I only see rodimus and galvatron deserving new bigger figures. I would be satisfied with a repaint or retool of leader tank Megatron into galvatron.

Also I already have a stupid tank Galvatron.

Finally getting legends Gnaw would be nice though.

Whoever doesn't think that hasbro will make a Titan Unicron is smoking plastic crack. Support the program and I see omega supreme, trypticon, unicron, scorponok, and fort max in your future! Can't have Titan devy without omega

 

I would like a new Rodimus Prime, Galvatron, & the Sharkticons, cause that's all that's left. Of course I'd love to have some Quintessons and even Kranix and Arbulus based on the Marvel comic designs I saw on Tfwiki.
