    Ebay:
Just been checking out ebay where people are already pre-selling loose individual BotCon 2015 toys from the box set. Interesting to see the price each one demands.

The least wanted/lowest price is Packrat, who has sold for as low as $42.

Next up is SG Stepper, who is getting as low as $61 for the toy.

Next is Batteltrap getting at least $71.

Next up is Megatron, who gets at least $76.

Highest is Oilmaster, who gets at least $150.

So going by the BEST prices for each figure on ebay, the whole set is getting about $400+ loose.

Do any of those prices surprise you? I know a lot of people dismissed Oilmaster, but it really seems to be the prize of the set. Still, it's also the biggest unknown of the set. What is the quality like? Will the shell be great or crap?

This set is very underwhelming overall, and those prices are absurd

The prices will probably drop once they are on the market in larger numbers, but I think the ranking of which is the most popular and which is least will stand.

the first two reveals I liked. Pac Rat and Battletrap, but after that I thought they were all pretty lame. I haven't liked a Botcon set as a whole since the Animated Stunticons. THe Joecon exclusives are always really great in my eyes though.

I'm only getting Oilmaster and Battletrap. Scalpel micron might also be cool to have but I don't want to pay for the entire Megatron toy just to get it.

Oilmaster looks cool but not $100+ cool. I'd get Stepper if it was a retail toy. Otherwise, big pass on these.

Oilmaster and Packrat are my main interest from this set.

Megatron and Battletrap are ones I may try and track down after all the Botcon hype dies down on the set and the prices drop. Ditto for any add one that I end up liking (other than Optimus who I already snagged when everyone was looking at the black Skids :)  )

Glad that Megatron and Battletrap aren't unreasonably priced because I need Megatron. Battletrap's mold is nice, too.

Oilmaster is objectively amazing. But it's not a prize like Scorponok where I was going to get it no matter the cost. The bigger Pretender fans can have him :D

I think you worded this sentence weird. $400 would be the WORSE price a whole set is getting if you are a seller. Best price if you are a buyer, but you wouldn't use the worde "getting" in that way.

I think the price will be lower right now because it's preorders then go higher right after the con starts and then go lower over a period of two years then go higher again just due to rarity settling at just a little over retail with Battletrap's price highly dependent on whether a flywheels ever gets released and/or a new mold.

I found both this set and the Subscription Figures this year to be pretty underwhelming.

I think the only thing going for it is Oilmaster, but that's just the excitement over "hey new Pretender", except beyond that he's not really a good one or all that interesting.

It will be interesting to see if this set can maintain enough value to not fall below the bargain bar set by the Machine Wars box-set.

Oilmaster is going to become the next BotCon 2006 Megatron.

I don't think I've been impressed by a Botcon set since the Axalon crew. They've all been unnecessary for me, so I won't bother looking.
The ONLY one from this set that I wouldn't turn down is Battetrap, and that's only because I like the Springer mold. The rest, especially that horrible Oil-monkey (seriously, that sculpt is horrible) will be instant passes.

Agreed. Oilmaster pretty much ruined the set for me. A big monkey who is poorly sculpted is just a big joke. Heck, this years Joe Con Set was better than this, and all the joes were unnecessary repaints!
Last years set was my favorite by far.

FYI BBTS has boxed and loose sets available.

    Loose $400

    Boxed $500

I think those prices are insane. I wasn't really involved in TF fandom much before the last year or so and I really can't believe the outrageous prices Botcon charges for everything.

I've got someone taking care of getting Megatron for me that's going to the con. It's more than what the eBay prices are, but I'd rather get him (and his microns) from someone here rather than random eBay person.

    *cough* me too :D  *cough*
