No joke. lol. So that extra head with the side gear that disappears on the top of the cab won't go down so the flat lid lays flat. Is that common? I can push it down but it bounces back up and I do not want to break it. And it won't click shut or anything.

The Omega Prime head? Rotate the gold bits on the side forward a bit, they can't fit into the cavity when fully raised for robot mode.

Yeah I rotated them so they fit and they aren't the problem. They aren't hitting. I think the small base that the head is attached to is hitting the back too soon when going down. I tried rotating them down and they got stuck inside. Took an effort to get the thing to open again.

I had mine right next to me and I fiddled with it for a bit - is the back/'neck' of the Omega Prime head hitting anything? You might have an extra piece or something sitting 'into' the cab, if that makes any sense.

Does the head panel not go down all the way, or does it go down, but spring back up. If he latter, I've noticed that the Omega Prime head actually slides back slightly and locks into place, and then the head panel stays in place just fine.

Oddly, I bought the Japanese version years later, and that transformation step doesn't even exist. The head doesn't slide, but it isn't necessary to do so, either.

That little push back was it! It is very subtle and I would have thought I broke it because it doesn't feel normal. But that solved it perfectly. Thanks, amx-01 archon!
