I want more human figures to go with my transformers. But small ones, like the size of the G1 headmasters or DOTM Human Alliance

    -I don't like light piping.
-I don't hate non transforming toys (Action Masters) but the sculpt better be damn good. I wouldn't mind if Hasbro or 3P came out with high quality action masters for TF Prime, because I loved the designs from that show. The TFP toyline was a mixed bag, some were okay and some were downright awful. I understand it's not possible to have a toy that can be 100% show accurate and transform, which is why I would sacrifice transformation for slavish accuracy. Something like the Revoltech figures would be nice.
-I hate Masterpiece Bumblebee's chicken legs.

Star Saber is the most disappointing masterpiece since the crucifixion. Getting Star Saber before Galvatron is a sin.

I don't mind painted windows/cockpits. I don't prefer them over anything but since I think of Transformers as cartoon robots anyway, something resembling cartoon style kind of fits.

I like new characters whenever they appear, including in Generations/Classics style lines, that includes Combiner Wars (I do not want anyone denied their character, though). I feel like new characters help the brand stay fresh and add to the rogue's gallery that can be used. Sometimes new characters are a one off thing, so I feel getting their toys to be a must for their novelty.

Hasbro Asia Masterpiece Releases don't count towards Masterpiece Releases to me.

But Hasbro US Masterpiece Releases do count for me.

Takara MP> Hasbro US MP > .......eternity > Hasbro Asia MP

My unpopular opinions on CW and the recent CHUG figures in general:

*making Combiners out of characters who ARNT COMBINERS. How's about we get more actual Combiners? We already got Superion, Menasor, Defensor, and Bruticus, let's keep the ball rolling!

*the making of characters in their (IMHHO) God awful IDW bodies, E.G. brainstorm and swerve.

That first one isn't unpopular. I have seen several people here that have complained about that same thing.

An unpopular opinion/like of mine is that I like Combiner Wars Breakdown. I have started to like it more now that I have had it for a while, to where I can't imagine a Breakdown that doesn't look squat.

You wind up being pretty unpopular if you mention it thou, lol.

I like 'down too, at least from the waist up. My biggest problem with him is the fact that his heels/spoiler dosnt like to stay tabbed together.

From what I've seen, they are better than official in many cases.

When I first started collecting, I bought a KO MO Prowl by accident. I didn't know that good knockoffs were a thing. I didn't find out until a couple months later. It's got zero problems, and while I don't have any official MPs to compare it too, I don't regret the purchase.

Why??? Star Saber has the best design in Transformers history, and his masterpiece figure does him justice.

I think a small part of it has to due with his bio being based off his IDW incarnation, rather than the original Japanese rendition. At least that's the biggest criticism of heard of him.

It's because you say it in the Combiner Wars appreciation thread. Basically like throwing meat into a lions' den.

My unpopular opinion: I like PRID Cliffjumper over First Edition. Just captures the roundness of the character model much better.

I've been increasingly aware of how ugly a lot of 3P headsculpts are. It ruins a lot of them for me. FansToys in particular.

Personally, I think Alternators Grimlock is one of the better versions of the character; his transformation is overly complex, but at least he fits the idea of "Robots in Disguise" better than a giant metal T.rex. That sort of thing works for Transmetals, but not for an actual disguise.

I'd really be extremely happy to see a Grimlock who just ditches the humanoid robot mode and just transforms between a vehicle mode and a dinosaur mode.

Forgive me for performing threadcromancy but I want to say something and this is the best place for it.

I LIKE Titans Return Galvatron's ship mode. I think it looks cool. Reminds me of the Arwing from Starfox. It also allows Galvatron to move around more than his stationary cannon mode. So in my head canon it works very well.

Also unpopular is that I still highly dislike head masters and would have preferred this gimmick of toys been skipped. I'm not angry about it. I'm not knocking head master toys out of kids hands yelling about how dumb they are for liking it. Indeed, for anyone who digs them, I'm happy for you. I just wish I could be happy too. I just really dislike head masters. I also really wish some characters hadn't been been made in this line because they suffer (in my opinion) from the gimmick. Finally another Rodimus, only to be ruined (in my opinion) by a gimmick I dislike...

There got it off my chest.

I think TR Hardhead's rather overrated. He's so light and flimsy feeling.
