Ok so I have an opportunity to pick up a g1 megatron that appears to be complete for $75.

The thing is it doesnt appear to have any of its stickers applied ( i have only seen one pic) i was going to ask for some better pics, but before i do I want to know how i can tell if this is an encore release or original?

The guy has a lot of G1 items but this is really the only one that interets me and all the pics are similar in that they all seem complete and no stickers applied mostly. So it seems legit but he isnt a board member, he is a friend who has been buying MASK and GI joes off this guy and sent me several pics of g1 items to see if i was interested.

Hopefully this helps you clear it up. I used to own the Encore release, really the biggest tell would be if it includes the sword--as the US release did not include it. I'm not sure if he has any additional copyright dates on him anywhere. Hopefully the Wiki Page helps you identify him.

 

Definitely no sword just the chrome gun, no rub symbol on the left hip ( can't see the right shoulder)

Judging by the wiki this is a g1 release minus the bullets and stickers.
