Hey guys, sorry for starting this thread but I didn't know where else to put this but I am trying to find a way to cancel my preorder for a figure over at TFSource but I can't find where to do that, and can you actually cancel one once you have hit send?,Also if you can't could you go to the bank and have them do it for you by stopping payment, and if you get in trouble for doing that?.

I mean honestly I changed my mind about getting the figure there and would rather get it from somewhere like BBTS,but I don't get why you can't cancel there like you can at BBTS.I really think tomorrow I am gonna go to the bank and have them stop payment,TFSource seems unreliable compared to BBTS,does anyone else think so?

I would email them (contact us) and ask them to cancel your order. If you have order stacking, then it gives you the option to cancel, otherwise, you have to email them.

I cancelled by emailing. It was stated in the email that only 1 pre-order cancellation is accepted. So a one-time only deal, after that you are locked in for any pre-orders.

Hey Sun, even tho my Stacking Manager button is on it says there are no items in my stack since the figure hasn't been delivered yet,and I really don't know if they will take it off or not as I have read lots of topics how they never write back about peoples inquiries. But I will try to write them but if I haven't heard from them by friday morning I am going to the bank and stopping payment.BBTS doesn't do that with there customers. But thanks for the help SunSwipe.

I had to cancel some pre-orders a couple weeks ago because they changed their pre-ordering method to their "stacking" format. I pre-ordered the figures thinking I would not get charged until they were in-stock but it turns out that was not the case, and I could not afford to be charged for them at the time. I e-mailed them and received a reply about 2 days later, but they were very friendly and granted my request. If you pre-order from TFSource in the future, you need to use the "order stacking" method. That way you do not get charged until the items are actually in-stock and you can cancel pre-orders on your own. Hope that helps.

To tell you the truth Lizardbot I am not sure I will do anymore business with TFSource since like you said they are charging me for the figure and its not even instock,as for their stacking system the page says that stacking button is on,but its not showing there is anything in my stack.I just wrote them to please cancel my preorder since it is so much more hectic trying to find stuff there than BBTS.I just decided a week or so ago to try TFS but to be honest they just don't compare to BBTS when it comes to service.I would rather pay extra to know I'll get quick and excellent service that BBTS has than TFS.

For preorder items, you will have 2 options on the item page, preorder or add to stack (for instock items you get a choice of add to cart or add to stack). Add to stack option only shows up when you are logged on to your account. Stacking is like BBTS preorder and pile of loot...charge when item comes in stock and ship whenever you are ready (most wait until hit the $150 threshold for free shipping). The actual TFS "preorder" method is their old way where you pay up front. Sounds like that is the method you used.

Hey SCPrime,by the sounds of the way you describe it I think your right cause I placed a preorder for FansToys FT-06 Sever, but because its been 2 or 3 years since I last ordered from TFSource I had to input all my user info again, but when I went to put in my debit card info I got an email saying my card had been declined.

And I have checked my bank account but the money is still in there and hasn't been withdrawn so should I just wait to hear back from TFSource, but to be honest I am really regretting going back to them and just want to cancel my order for the figure and be done with TFSource as I have read so many posts about people trying to contact them about problems and they never get a reply,so even tho it said my card was declined should I just contact my bank and have them stop payment just in case TFSource tries to run it again?.Seriously tho I wish I had just stuck with BBTS but I thought TFSource had a better deal (and sure it may seem like it) but because of all this I think BBTS may be a little higher in price but there service is second to none. And I am gonna stick with BBTS from now on after I get this crap sorted out with TFSource. But thank you all for helping guys and I have learned just cause something is cheaper one place doesn't mean you should automatically jump at it.Later all.

I'm not trying to argue with you, Mike, or change your mind, but I simply do not understand all the hatred toward TFS. I've had two separate issues with them regarding orders and both times they were able to resolve them for me. Yes, they can take a few days to respond to messages, but I have never not gotten a reply from them.

On the flip side, people here seem to love BBTS with blind passion, and I don't understand that either. I absolutely hate that BBTS doesn't offer free shipping no matter how much you spend. That just screams CHEAPSKATES to me.

But whatever. Shop wherever you feel most comfortable I guess, even if it means paying more.

Hey Lizard,I understand what your saying and in a way TFSource has some good points but when it comes to all this Order Stacking and Preorder system I am just basically lost to the whole thing as there are so many rules about them I can't tell which way is up with it cause when I tried reading the rules about that and preorders the lettering was so small and legal looking I didn't read half of it.Plus after my debit card was declined I just figured it is too much work just to order a figure in a hobby that is suppose to make you happy but is actually doing the opposite.

And I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from doing business with TFS but for me its too much of a hassle, and as they say "to each his own".

I've always gotten a reply. Have a replacement leg for a combiner wars figure coming in the mail, no hassle, and they answered some questions about a preorder. Took a little over a day to get back to me, but that's reasonable.

I would check the order status and see if it says paid.

They've eliminated the old preorder system with the pay later option and have a regular pre-pay preorder system, and then they also have the stack which is pay later. It sounds like you placed a regular preorder. The stack is great, I just have to remember to sign in before I go to anything I want to add to it :)

Yeah, I don't understand the TFS hate either. And then I see people lauding TCP which had higher prices on whatever I was shopping for a month ago (I wanna say it MP U Mag + KFC Overslay/Haymaker) and BBTS which has same prices as TFSource but charges shipping.

I don't know .. I have always said, I wish TFS would just come out of the woodwork, address issues with the public (especially here on a place like TFW2005, instead of just on their website), tell us how they vow to change, offer better customer support, faster response times, etc .. Kind of like a roadmap many in-alpha game developers share with early access people.

It would show a ton of transparency, win people over and they would gain a SHIT-TON of respect and probably sales from people.. Just by being honest, upfront and admitting any "wrong doings."

So if you start selecting preorders to buy before you log in, you have to pay for them immediately and can't cancel any, but if you log in first, you have the option (if you understand it) of paying for them later and being able to cancel exactly one over the lifetime of your account?

Whereas on BBTS, you don't have to pay for preorders when you make them and can cancel them at any time.

Let's see...which of these is less confusing and more flexible? :peoples:

I think they're ok. Their response time is the main thing I have against them. Otherwise, I'd like them a lot more.

blind passion?.. BBTS doesn't get it's reputation for no reason. i've had a couple issues with them.. they resolved them very quickly.. as in, you contact them one day and they'll either get back to you that day or the next day.. so no, it's not blind passion.. it's positive experience.

No, if you use the stack you can cancel as many as you like. The site only shows the stack button when you're signed in which is inconvenient but it's not exactly a dealbreaker.

BBTS you can't preorder with Paypal when it's due, you have to provide a CC immediately (I thought I read they place a hold for the amount, not positive on that though). I prefer the Paypal option myself. And again, free shipping to boot.

I do admit the choice of preorder vs stack can be confusing and are only even given that option if you log in to your account first. Once you know that though, it's pretty straight forward. And when you add something to stack, you can cancel anytime and as many times as you want with a simple click on the "X". Once in stock, you can ship anytime too. It works pretty much like BBTS POL. The only time I ever use preorder on TFS is when I know for sure I want the item and so that I can use source points. It sucks you can't use source points on stack items. Otherwise, I use stack for the flexibility.

I've had to 2 problems with my orders from TFS (both were broken items). TFS sent me replacements fast. They replied to my message quick as well (usually within 24 hours during business days). One thing I found is they reply much quicker using their onsite message system vs email.

I've also had great service with BBTS as well. But I order exclusively from TFS now because of the free shipping. I don't have to wait til I get a huge POL to save on shipping. Just spend $150 and get free shipping from TFS.
