I know it's a bit early, but I'm bored, and thought I'd make a thread.

I only have two predictions and they are:

-Devastator will be cool, and (almost) everybody will be pleased.

- MP Sideswipe will have a release date. (For the US)

Trying to keep my expectations low.

 

I'm betting we'll see the Protectobots and likely the Combaticons along with Slingshot,Wildrider and the Autobot CW figures. There's also Devestator and more RID Warrior figures like Sideswipe and some Decepticons as well as the Megatronus figure.

 

i just get the feeling that i'll be one of those people who won't be pleased.

it's possible it looks nice.. but i know that any hint of quality won't be there.

i'm just picturing a ton of exposed hands.. hands like RID strongarm and prime where they're not actually hands, but kibble with holes.. no articulation in the combined modes' feet.. and VERY VERY weak individual robot modes.

i hope they do show off something really cool at toy fair.. but judging by the last few of them, i haven't been excited in a long long time. so, i'm just expecting more of same.

 

"Combiner Wars has been a success, and we've moved Bruticus (which we originally planned for 2015*) to start our 2016 Combiner Wars line."

*I have no idea what they originally planned, but I have a running theory that the rumored Masquerade set replaced the Combaticons so Bruticus could anchor 2016

 

We'll see Devastator, Defensor, another Voyager not tied to a specific team, and the Autobot Car deluxes. No sign of Bruticus.

 

Leader Starscream repaint (With Leader Acid Storm to get announced at Botcon, and Leader Skywarp at SDCC)

 

They'll reveal Devastator, the Protectobots, Warpath, Viper, and a ton of stuff for RID15 for certain. It's likely Leader Ultra Magnus could be revealed, but we haven't heard leaks about him from that Hong Kong event so there's a possibility he won't be seen. If he's not seen there, then Fun Pub's next magazine will feature his reveal and we'll see a certain someone else currently under development who hasn't leaked to the wider world instead. It would be nice to see the TRU exclusive Slingshot and Wildrider, but considering they only just entered TRU systems, it may be a little while longer.

I'd suspect the Masquerade-ish team won't be revealed until BotCon, because otherwise we'd have seen all the waves in one year by February. That's way too early. If they are revealed, it'll be because one of the Protectobots has swapped a wave with the Masquerade-ish team.

 

None of those will be revealed. They will show more Optimus and Bumblebee roleplay toys and no actual figures that transform, to show everything I can expect to find in the disastrous Transformers aisle at my local TRU.  

(No, not really, but whatever is shown has to be loads better than that. )  

 

When is the Toy Fair? I'm hoping it's soon, I need a toy news fix.

 

Devestator, Defensor, the 3rd wave of legends and Ultra Magnus figures on hand...as well as Slingshot & Wildrider...anything else will be teases or pictures...

 

The New York show starts on the 14th of February, that's when we're most likely to see pics of stuff.

 

Couldn't say anything about predictions, seems like all the rumors out there have Toy Fair reveals covered already.

One thing I'm hopeful of though is a Legends Kickback announcement!

 

Devastator is all I want to see. I'd also like to see Scooby Doo Lego.

 

I predict dangerously high levels of fandom butthurt.

As far as actual toy reveals, I'd assume CW Titan Devastator and CW Defensor would be definite, as well as maybe some of the other Platinum reissues. The MSRP for Platinum Trypticon would be my most anticipated reveal.

 

Generations.
The Stunticons will be there, I'd assume The Protectobots and wave 4 as well.
I'm not sure Devastator will be there in person but I'm sure something about him will he there. 100% certain.

RID: Wave 2,3, and 4 should be there. I expect to see the Megatronus and other Primes there. Be aware of One-Step presence.

 

What I would like to see is something different than what is probable of course......

So, I'll just say what I'd like to see, and that is :

- a proper CW Bruticus
- the Hasbro version of CW Slingshot AND his release date.

 

Hasbro Slingshot and Wildrider. It'll make sense for them to be revealed at NYTF what with the TRU listings now.

I wouldn't expect any store exclusives to be shown before Botcon. But we should see Defensor and Bruticus, maybe Leader Magnus. I wouldn't be surprised to find out what the Silverbolt retool is either (I hope its not Cyclonus), since that could show up before a Hot Spot retool (whatever it happens to be).
