I was wondering what figures from G1 were offered though Hasbro through the mail in forms that came with the boxed figures. Also, what date did the mail in inserts end? I was a GI Joe fan back in the day and Hasbro re-released several older items though their mail in forms. Again, just curious.

Yup, powerdashers, omnibots, and the time warrior watch were the first mail aways.

I remember getting a little red Ferrari Autobot mail order back in 85 or 86. Don't remember his name.

1985 had the Powerdashers (Jet, Car, and Drill), the Omnibots (Overdrive, Camshaft, and Downshift) and "Time Warrior."

1986 had Reflector. Yes, first season only Reflector was not released until season 3.

1986 also saw mail away re-releases of Megatron, Thundercracker, Ratchet, Warpath, and Cosmos.

There was also a mail away Jazz from Cookie Crisp Cereal. It was the same Jazz, but missing the Martini stickers.

Japan had quite a few US characters who only got released as mail always. Ratchet and Gnaw for sure. Maybe more.

Here's some of the ones I've got (plus a couple of competition slips). Not all for figure mail-aways though; just thought people might find them interesting:

Weetabix here in the UK had a mail-away offer for G1 Fireflight and Dragstrip in little baggies (can't remember if there were other figures). I kinda regret selling my sealed Dragstrip one about twelve years back. Considering my mindset about such promo things these days I cannot fathom why I felt it wasn't important to my TF collection. I guess because I already had another regular-release Dragstrip and some baggie thing I got for fairly cheap from a cereal offer meant less to me or some other such simple-minded idiocy. And yet I kept all this paperwork nonsense.

I mailed away for Overdrive (red Omnibot) and it was became one of the happiest memories of my G1 days.

I also sent away for Wheeljack and Sunstreaker in 86 or so when they were no longer avilable at retail.

That was what I was curious about. After Sunstreaker and Wheeljack what other figures were offered mainly from 1987-1990.
