I agree. CW SS only vaguely looks like SS, such as the head. They could have at least tried a little harder. This whole combiner is an easily pass for me. I have a classics SS and I have no attachment to the other characters in the team.

 

Will probably put SS back in the box... maybe replace him with CW Blast Off with the Renderform head once UW Bruticus comes arrives. Hell, even Terrorsaur would probably work in canon as Unicron picks from the multiverse anyway when gathering the team.

Roller can go back to the Autobots; ideally, I want to use Offroad, Breakdown, Thrust, Terrorsaur (if I can find him cheap).

 

At least, the UW head looks so much better than the classics one.


Edit: Also, if you have Classics Cyclonus, you could take a picture of him with UW Cyclonus?

Offroad, Scattershot and Sunstreaker will be my attempt at a BWII inspired Magnaboss, with CW Lightsteed and Afterburner becoming the other two limbs when Computron comes out. Going to need new heads for almost all of them.

Oh wait so does that mean Roller lacks the Rook HFG? Cuz the hole in the palm is feature I would hope they not omit.

I gotta say Unit 3 is easily the best looking use of that mold (at least the StreetProwl shell but I daresay altogether). I was about to skip him myself when at the con but ended up getting all the exclusive figures anyway and I'm damnwell glad I did. He's very true to qhat he's based on and the mold was a great fit. The plastic colors look really good and they gave it a steller paintjob as well aside from the HFG.
In other words nudge nudge go buy him.

 

He still comes with the Rook HFG. Starscream and Thrust are the two that share the same HFG; I just reassigned them both to Roller so he could have two identical ones.
