One. If I love the mould enough I may buy a Takara version down the track to replace it, but I'm on a budget, so Hasbro will have to do.
the tak version doesn't creep me, just that aside from her lips she looks fairly bland, so the Hasbro version is the one I'm a waitin' fer
Why are so many freaking about distribution? Now there are people saying they'd buy all the stock to resell, thus creating or worsening the apparently poor retail distribution. And if Hasbro's distribution is expected to be spotty, why would we (as a community) promote getting more than one for ourselves? I'll get one WHEN I see it on the shelf.
Same as I do for all Generations figures: one Hasbro and one Takara. Whichever one looks better in robot mode will stay in robot mode, and the runner-up will go on to my vehicle-mode shelf. This is just my opinion of course, but I don't really think she fits with any line except Generations. Don't get me wrong, I'd love an MP Arcee someday, and if it follows the general transformation and design of this one I'd be happy with that. But this isn't that figure. I also wouldn't put her with G1 figures. I'm still hoping that a 3rd-party comes along and does a retro-style G1 Arcee figure, with the kind of limited articulation and design you'd see in 1986 (I know there have been a few customs that approach this, but I don't think there has been a widel-available mass-release version). Heck, 3rd party figures originally arose to "fill gaps in a collection"; while they've obviously grown beyond that now it's still a big part of why they exist. And G1 Arcee is a figure that has been missing from collections for 28 years!
Could only find one Arcee, at a collectors' shop in Phoenix. Fortunately, her hands are closed, so she has no trouble holding her weapons. I'd like another to keep in package just in case, but I despair of ever seeing another one at any retail. With my luck, if I did find another Arcee, that one would have open hands.
I've got my Takara Arcee pre-ordered at BBTS. I'm going to display her with my G1 Hotrod, Springer, and Ultra Magnus.
