Get me an interview, now. That’s what I said to my friend when he shared a picture of Michael Kingcaid’s Transformers collection with me a week before Michael himself shared photos with the Internet. I then received numerous emails and Facebook tags to get in touch with the owner of this amazing collection and collar him for an interview. Luckily, by that stage I had established contact with this highly creative, long-time enthusiast and he was thrilled to be able to share his passion and achievement through a Source Interview. Inspiration in words and visuals alike, by popular demand, we give you Michael Kingcaid!

He can say that cause... i mean... look at his collection. :lol

Then again my collection is priceless, even with the meager stuff that I own. I'll never sell them.

    Much better.

Indeed. I think each collection's worth depends on how the collector values them.

I quoted that line because it struck a chord in me. I used to tell my parents/friends how much some of the figures I have would cost in the market just to brag but then my girl (now wife) asked me the same question, "Will you be selling them?" I told her no, then she said, "If you're not selling them, don't think of their price. Think of how much they mean to you instead."

So now when I see my collection, I see all the effort, fun and adventure me and my wife put in. That's definitely a better perspective than what I had before.

    Always enjoy the articles Maz.

Really great collection and displayed expertly, Michael. Gotta say though, it was the 'extra' positive attitude and tone that I especially enjoyed in this interview. (btw not knockin' anyone else)

    Once again, amazing interview.
Almost as impressive as the collection are the display cabinets with the sigils. I've never seen anything like that.

Great read, totally respect his humble and positive attitude, some great words of advice and wisdom. I was expecting him too be more punk and trash everything from BW to Michael Bay (heh j/k). I dont have that many years of collecting under my belt but I took away from this interview too be patience and enjoy the ride.

Definitely a good read that will resonate with us old fogies that were kids in The 80s. My favorite part were the great retro fotos. I'm going to have to dive into my parent's foto albums to see if I have some of those too!
