I have a light green shockwave marked toyco 1983. . The previous owner worked for a toy company. Has anyone ever seen a light green shockwave? I posted a quick video on youtube .
Welcome to tfw! Your shockwave sounds pretty cool, but to get any info or insight, you're gonna need to post some pics.
That's really cool... I've never seen that before. Waggster, why don't you post a couple of pictures instead?
Thanks AoE for posting the link. I'll have to get pics up. Someone on youtube mention that it looks like a test shot. I bought a bunch of vintage toys that came from a guy who worked for a toy company.
It has a toyco 1983 trademark on the leg. I also got a dark grey shockwave with a toyco trademark ,and some unopened pow-r -b-bots and convert-abots and some other vintage toys from the 70s to mid 80s
EDIT: This was apparently another licensed vintage release aside from the Transformers and Radio Shack versions... ToyCo really whored out licenses back in the day. There was also a gray and purple version. http://plasticcrack.net/archives/2009/04/convert-a-bot_shockwave_that_is_not_shockwave
I saw that one from plasticcrack his box says made in china. My 2 shockwaves have made in korea on the boxes and on the battery lids.
It's like the animators were all little Da Vincis... lacing the old cartoons with "what might've beens" in the TF toy-world of 1980-something.
