AliExpress.com - Online Shopping for Electronics, Fashion, Home & Garden, Toys & Sports, Automobiles from China. is having 15% off many items, today 11/11 only. Uncle Billy has lots of TF stuff on sale. Got myself a KO MP Optimus for 77.46 GBP including shipping.
It's part of Alibaba, one of the largest retail networks in the world. Think the Chinese equivalent of Amazon. Products are sold by different sellers, but the site offers buyer protection for all purchases.

Thanks! YAY for their "Singles Day" Forget Black Friday: Alibaba's Singles Day sets online shopping record - LA Times
Not exactly the whole story. Much smaller than Amazon, and very different policies. (edit - Aliexpress, not Alibaba. Alibaba group is huge, but contains a lot more than Aliexpress) For starters, there is a much greater rate of fake and knockoff products, and there is no way to reach customer service by email if there's a problem. It's a spinoff from alibaba, a similar concept but meant for business to business deals. I.E. - where many of the KO products on Ebay are sourced from. Here's an interesting quote from the "Controversies" section of their wiki entry: "Alibaba.com offers a Gold Supplier membership to try to ensure that each seller is genuine.[citation needed] "To qualify for a Gold Supplier membership, a supplier must complete an authentication and verification process by a reputable third-party security service provider appointed by Alibaba.com".[citation needed] While the majority of suppliers are reported to be genuine,[citation needed] there have been cases of sellers seeking to defraud unsuspecting buyers. In February, 2011, controversy ensued when Alibaba's corporate office admitted that it had granted the mark of integrity of its "China Gold Supplier" program to more than 2,000 dealers that had subsequently defrauded buyers; the firm's share price dropped "abruptly" after the announcement.[56] A statement from the firm reported that Yan Limin, the General Manager of Alibaba.com at the time, had been dismissed in March for "misconduct"; Phil Muncaster of UK's The Register additionally reported that "a further 28 employees had been involved in dodgy dealings"." Not bashing them too hard, I'm actually thinking of placing an order myself. But "It's like Amazon" paints a picture of safe/secure/legitimate goods in my head, and that is NOT what I think of with Aliexpress and Alibaba.
I placed an order but the 20 off 199 coupon managed to disappear between buy now and enter cc info. Coupon seemed to be automatic after u hit > 199 of items (not counting shipping) Kind of sucks and i sent email into help but not getting any help Would like to reorder and get coupon applied but afraid i would end up with 2 $200 orders. Alternative is to cancel but since i paid via cc it takes time to verify ..and if it is like last sale it wont verify till the sale is over. May just suck it up and go forward with the order. Uncle billy included orionvil and blot on this sale, so snagged them and some other random junk. The 15% off far outweighs the extra 10% ...though it would be nice. Im just hopeful customer service cam simply credit me back for value of coupon ... (stupidly hoping for the best) Also 4 of 5 tfcs predaking are on sale.
I treat it a lot like ebay. Lots of cheap shit from reputable and non reputable sellers. Just look at their ratings and try googling for reviews of them from sites like tfw etc. If low/no ratings i stay away. If mixed reviews i stay away. Uncle billy is pretty good based on feedback around the interwebz. A few other sellers too (i cant remember one store name but it is shared across aliexpress, ebay and amazon so u can get a good idea if he is legit or not)
Apparently this was part of China's 'Singles Day' ecommerce promotion, which is bigger than Black Friday there. Most of the big ecommerce sites including Alibaba and Taobao are 50% off on 11/11, and they set a huge ecommerce record yesterday. As for me, I found someone selling the Aveo Swerve figure and a KO of Masterpiece Silverstreak, some fun unauthorized Lego minifigure sets, and assorted Totoro items, enough to get me to the $99 threshold. I love the idea of a big promotional Ecommerce day (the government sponsors it, apparently) - I wonder how long it will be before this sort of thing spreads to the US? Tim "toy geek"
I can't tell exactly which TF's are legit and which are KO's for the Masterpiece TF's. A few listings say "KO" so I suppose one could surmise that the listings that do not say "KO" are legit. Not sure if that logic is ironclad, but it's a theory.
