I decided to make a thread for those who collect and love the One Step Changers figures and the Kiddie subline toys too from AOE and Beyond

i dont really have any of the AOE Kiddie stuff yet, i would love to get the one step changers, i had fun with the one step Drift which was on display for kids to play on a toy store over here.

I got all the 1-step changers up the the Galvatron wave, they're really fun, plus they can interact with the big Grimlock and the Japanese Optimus. Helicopter Drift, Stinger, Galvatron and Slug are my favorite.

I don't have any myself, but I bought my girlfriend's daughter One-Step Bumblebee, One-Step Drift, One-Step Slash and Grimlock, and Flip 'n Change Lockdown over the summer and she really likes them. I'm constantly impressed with their design and ingenuity, and watching them transform back and forth is way cooler to me than I expected it to be. I myself am really looking forward to One-Step Prowl and Rollbar, whenever they make their way to Michigan.

Came within a hair of getting a one-step hound and the big version of one-step lockdown that peaugh hates. I heard they're both decent for one-steps.

Those wjo like them usually point out tye level of sculpting is surprisingly excellent. I'll probably end up with one or two eventually

I'm probably going to be getting two or three Steeljaw One-Step changers since they are the closest representation of Steeljaw that we are ever going to get. Also, their build in robot mode reminds me a ton of Leobreaker from Cybertron. Considering he was one of my favorite figures of the line, I'm probably going to paint one slightly to represent him...or just re-purpose one of the normal Steeljaws to be a Decepticon-turned Leobreaker.

Looking forward to 1-Step Prowl and Power Battlers Junkheap and Vehicon myself. Got a Steeljaw and Stinger waiting for me at home that I still have to crack open.

Also wouldn't be an appreciation thread w/o pics:

Eeeh, define 'kiddy stuff' for me.

    Obviously One Steps like Bumblebee...

    And Rescuebots Dinobot Heatwave...

But what about 'simple' figures like Cyberverse or the second Beast Hunters Voyager Optimus Prime?

I have quite a lot of kid stuff actually, although possibly my favourites are the ROTF Gravitybots. They're cool... but when I handed Skids to a friends little boy he did manage to jam the mechanism. I was able to open it and fix it but to this day I have no idea how he did it in the first place.

I really dislike the simplistic figures, but I find myself adding them to my collection for some reason.
    I have:
Slash- really nice raptor mode. Bot mode is rubbish.
Slug- both modes are actually pretty good, even without articulation.
Stinger- alt mode is sleek. Bot mode sucks.
Drift-copter- alt mode is pure beauty. The transformation is actually really cool to watch, and the bot mode isn't bad at all.
    Lockdown- copy/paste Stinger.
Strafe- dino mode is okay, but the bot mode is really cool. Also, the wings have enough articulation to make them into a cape.

The only one I want now is Megatron, since I'm a fan of the RotF tank mode.

Oh yeah, and any time I look at them it the stores, my daughter makes fun of me. She thinks they're dumb, and prefers more complicated deluxe figures (Scorn and Strafe are her favorites).

What the heck is that, some previous movie Ironhide? That thing is AWESOME!

Finally got Rollbar and he totally rules - I love his out-of-nowhere X-Brawn/Wildride face and chest homage, and his vehicle mode is probably my favorite of the One-Steps. Got Prowl and Megatron on the way, I'm pretty jazzed.

They are fun and relatively cheap. It's a good way to have a collection of a line to just mess with without going all-in on expensive leaders and voyagers and near $20 deluxes.

I know my sister is getting me Flip-And-Change Lockdown for Christmas and I'm honestly excited for it. I was originally planning on buying the Deluxe, and reviews made it look decent, but when I saw how tiny and fat it was in-person at Target I decided to pass. The Flip-And-Change will at least blend well with my Leaders to a degree, and I can probably craft him a hook out of Bionicle parts to make up for the lack of gun-face. Plus, it'll be nice to have a Leader sized figure that's not an absolute chore to transform.

Still, I can always hold out hope for a Human Alliance Lockdown with a tiny Kelsey Grammer figure.

I got the One step Slash and, he's actually pretty fun. Transforming him back and forth is pretty fun. It's obvious these aren't made for people who like posing them, but they are great to fiddle with.

Does anyone know how to make One Step Lockdown uh...functional?

I've gotten mine in vehicle mode once.

i've thought about sticking to One-steppers for the RID line, since I know I want everything they've currently shown for CW (and my wallet can only take so much). I also kind of want all the 1 step movie dinobots, even though I hate the movieverse. lol. I just really dig the engineering on these OSCs.
