Actually, I forgot 2 official ones that I really like the simple or effective transformation and that I am happy with both modes, other than MP Wheeljack and Grimlock, and that is:

    1) Generations Springer: Intuitive, well engineered with proper tabs / locking mechanism, and solid

    2) PRID Arcee: Easy, simple, looks great in both mode for such a small price.

Also, I hear some of the Animated toys are really great, but unfortunately, I never had the chance to own them.

I'd say 99% of Animated figures are strong contenders for most interesting transformations. Best would have to go to Animated Prowl though. Making a decent motorcycle-former has always been a challenge, but damn...how they managed to elegantly make a motorcycle with no bot mode kibble transform to a screen accurate, highly articulated deluxe is amazing.

    TM2 Spittor.

He doesn't get a lot of love (that I've noticed, at any rate), but he has a fantastic and original transformation. He does things that I can't recall seeing on other TFs -- almost all the parts of his bot mode ends up rotated 90 degrees relative to their original locations in beast mode, and they do so in three different axes for the head, frog torso, and robot torso.

Universe Galvatron! Such fun transformation in a tiny package!

All kidding aside, I'd have to pick Evasion Optimus. Truly ingenious engineering to turn from G1 alt-mode to an very screen-accurate Movie bot mode.

Interesting transformation for an interesting toy. Bit of a mind blow as to how such a solid robot becomes such a long dragon.

FE Starscream is interesting in as much as how can a tiny jet can become such a tall robot. A very neat and instinctive transformation is the answer.

Oddly, for recent mainline stuff I find the AOE Slash figure to have a pretty neat transformation, even if the resulting bot mode is an ugly bucket of bits in the general shape of a robot.

If there was a Hall Of Fame of friggin' fun transformations, Prime RID Vehicon belongs in there. I was going to sell mine until I started playing with it again and immediately removed him from my sell list!

Right now, I'd say MP Wheeljack. His feet's transformation is a lot like Prime Wheeljack

Rotf sideways/dead-end. Incredible engineering for a deluxe. Super poseable with different kibble placement options with the windows and panels that can be set in different meaningful ways.
Uni2.0 inferno. Intuitive transformation while maintaining a very fun appearance in both modes.

I'll second Evasion OP - turning fricking inside-out to get the Movie bot mode out of the G1 cab-over altmode is fantastic.

Animated Prowl's ability to create a symmetrical, backpackless bike-former without splitting wheels while still having excellent proportions and articulation.

    Animated Lockdown's inflation to a Voyager-sized robot.

HftD Terradive's inversion of Seeker tropes (the way his cockpit chest points up, the tailfins stick off his back, and his wings are attached to his legs), while retaining a reasonably intuitive transformation and virtually nothing hanging off in either mode.

Prime RiD Vehicon, for the same reasons as everyone else.

AoE Evasion Optimus, because the transformation sort of gives off a feel of the actual on-screen transtormation, seeming to genuinely turn itself inside-out.

BW Fuzor Silverbolt, I like how the toy has the front and rear limbs appear to swap places, the beast head tucks inside the body, and the whole thing changes shape without changing its orientation relative to the ground. ( none of this "beast stands up" stuff )

While most of Animated would make the list, just meeting the criteria asked:

    1. Animated Shockwave. The Robot to robot is top notch. I had someone not believe that "true colors" purple Shockwave on my Decepticon shelf and Gray Longarm on the Autobot shelf were the same mold until I swapped their robot modes and they were mindblown.
    2. PRID Vehicon. A near mind boggling transformation as 80% of the vehicle accordions into the leg.
    3. Animated Lockdown. This deluxe car unfolds into a Leader sized robot.
    4. Generations Springer. The best triple changer ever, IMHO. Effective, fun, and clean.
    5. BWNeo Big Convoy. The king of Shellformers, Big Convoy integrates it all in what seems to complicated, but is really very ordered transformation that results in a great robot.
    6. Animated Rodimus. Tiny little car becomes a linebacker of a robot. Take a look at a picture (or better yet, in hand) of Animated and Classics Rodimus next to each other in both modes and be blown away.
    7. AOE Voyager Optimus Prime. The G1-esque vehicle flips inside out to become a surprisingly large and well articulated robot.
    8. Animated Voyager Bulkhead. It's nothing extraordinary, but it's very fun to do.
    9. Animated Activator Seeker mold. What all smaller figures should envy to be like and a great autotransformation.
    10. Voyager Skyhammer/Drift. Great and almost totally clean helicopter with an involved transformation into a robot mode that doesn't look like an upright helicopter.
