Hi, guys. I just had a quick question regarding the website Robotkingdom. I am interested in purchasing a couple of the Masterpiece cassette Transformers from them but I would like to know if anyone else has ever purchased these figures from them before? Are their MP cassettes figures official products? I know that there are knock-offs of these two sets all over Ebay, which is why I am asking. From what I can tell, it is very difficult to tell which a real one and which isn't. Sorry, but I have never purchased from them before and I know that they are located in China, which also makes me a bit nervous. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

I buy all my Hasbro toys from them. Must've made at least 20 orders in the past without issue. They definitely would not be selling KOs.

Yea, my main concern was trying to find legit MP cassettes online. I am very paranoid that I may get stuck with a fake set. Thanks for help.

Highly doubt you'd get stuck with a KO with RK. Although it's technically "Possible" I doubt you would. If you did it would be more out of chance then the company actually trying to sell you a KO.

Same as BBTS. You can almost guarantee you'd be getting official. (But like I said it's not impossible. However unlikely it COULD happen. But that would be more along the lines of the store not knowing and having been duped.)

Robot Kingdom is in Hong Kong and not mainland China, right? All my packages have been mailed from them have been posted from Hong Kong.

Not sure if that makes much difference to some though.

Anyways, RK's always been legit. Unfortunately their shipping prices to the US have gone up quite a bit from what they used to, so it's no longer really worth it for me to order stuff from them since I'll be paying roughly the same (using the lowest priced shipping service) as at US online retailers, with the only benefit being getting stuff slightly earlier (depending on circumstance & shipping speed).

Yes they are official ad fyi all the toys are made in China, so it's odd that you are worried about them being in China.

It's funny you say that. For years I've thought that RK usually was cheaper than BBTS, but by the time shipping got added in prices were close most of the time. I've always thought their shipping was steep (although that's true of many overseas places). I hadn't noticed it getting worse. But maybe it has.

I was always perplexed by people saying RK was so much cheaper than BBTS (this goes all the way back to ROTF- I think that's the first time I ordered from them, or maybe it was MP Megatron).

Not everyone lives in the US. For us Australians, RK is cheaper and you get it far earlier,

I've had good experiences with RK. I very much doubt you'd get stuck with a KO from them.

They're a site sponsor, so of course.

It's definitely gotten worse, at least for US customers.

I used to be able to double-up on TFC combiner members, and the total cost with shipping would be cheaper than the same order from BBTS (where shipping costs would be incremental since I had an ongoing PoL at the time). Now if I wanted to do that, I'd still be paying roughly the equivalent of what I'd be paying via US online retailers, even with the cheapest shipping rate from RK available.

Same goes for "larger" third party and official Transformers; any savings on the price are impacted by the high shipping rates. At least on some items previously, there might be small savings, or larger savings with a larger order. Now, not anymore.

As a result, I never use them unless they have a "warehouse find" that I haven't really seen pop up elsewhere.

(I never attempted buying US Transformers from them since it never seemed worth it to get anything even slightly earlier based on what I'd be paying, so I have no idea how shipping rates have affected that endeavor.)

Almost guaranteed that a site sponsor is legit.

And yes, RK is definitely legit.

Yes, I'm aware that they are made in China. Bootlegs however, are primarily produced there, hence the reason I asked. There is nothing odd about it.

Was this necessary? Your response added absolutely nothing to the conversation. If you consider this thread to be below your obviously superior intellectual capabilities, perhaps you should exhibit some common sense yourself and not bother taking part in it in the first place.

Yea, their rates are definitely out there from what I can tell. I tried adding a MP-18S Silver Streak to my order to see if I could at least get a break on the overall shipping costs, but it barely made a dent. Oh well. Anyway, I would just like to say thanks to everyone who gave me some feedback. (Well most of you, anyway.)
