First of all thank you SydneyY for creating a thread where we can get together and share information.

Visited my local Toyworld today and was surprised to see deluxes now at $30, voyagers $40 and leader class megs going at $90. At this rate I feel it's much easier to order online during sales. Does anyone else feel that transformers here are overpriced or is it just us lonely ol' Perthians? :lol

Edit: Not to mention Titan Devy at a whopping $200! Damn student peasant budgeting :lol

RID-2015 Season One 4-disc DVD set for Australia on Sept 1st - AU$49.

Generations Motormaster is still only showing up at Target at this stage.

Protectobot Deluxes are hitting Kmarts pretty hard, and found at other stores.

Woolies have RID Tiny Titans for $4 and Kreo 2014 Series 1 Kreons for $2.80 until August 11th.

Thanks to a tip-off by TFW member Tronis, many BigW stores have a heap of licensed party items, including Transformers. More photos here.

And for those in Brisbane, the annual royal show (Ekka) has two Transformers Showbags, and their stunt-car show done with a Transformers theme this year. Details here.

Just expanding on the post above, which was posted in a hurry in the early hours of the morning (for me), so I was being a bit lazy by posting links to off-site info (which I don't like doing here, as it could look like poaching).

The info on the Australian RID DVD set, thanks to Kirben, who is also a member of TFW.

Cover art and details at the JB HiFi site.

Produced by Beyond Entertainment, who did the Rescue Bots DVDs.
4 DVD set - 527 minutes (if it is all 26 episodes, they must be only 20 minutes long).
AU$49 - delivery only, no in-store pickup. (they might stock them in the stores, but ask your nearest store first if they are getting it in, or if they can get it in for you)
Region 4 PAL - so just like the Rescue Bots DVDs (which are better than the American DVDs by having all the episodes), this might be a tease for Americans who can't play Region 4 PAL (if Shout Factory are only releasing random episodes like they did with Rescue Bots). If you can play and watch R4-PAL DVDs, the JBHifi site ships to other countries, so go to the link and order away... AU$49 would be about US$35 at the moment.
For those in Australia, it says that it is exclusive to JB Hifi, but I can't imagine Beyond Entertainment would limit their availability like that, considering it is the current mainline series/cartoon for the Transformers brand, so they should be in every store (unless they are doing volumes for regular retailers, and JB gets the Season set for the Collectors).

While on the topic of Beyond Entertainment, the third volume of Season Two Rescue Bots - Bots & Robbers - is now out.

Only one volume left of Season Two, but no announcements of it yet.

Links to the Brisbane Show, showbags (Gen1 & Movie) and Transformers themed stunt-show.

And finally, the BigW party items, and the source of the tip-off in the Australian sightings topic...

This was from the Garden City store, which has a whole corner of the store allocated to this. There are probably 30-50 different licensed kids themes of party supplies available, in addition to costumes and balloons (which they will fill with helium for a fee).
Plus a number of themes for older demographics, like 1980s party supplies and adult sized costumes. (get ready for those Halloween parties)
For which stores will have these party sections, go to the BigW site.

But since this is a Transformers fansite, here is the Transformers selection of party goodies...

It's all TFPrime/Beast Hunters though, so I hope BigW got a good deal on the licensing fee, as the red packaging may be from 2014-2015, but the character art and themes are 2011-2013 (being 3-4 years old)... which could be noticed by a child who is only a new fan from RID and see that this Bumblebee and Optimus just don't look right.
Then again, if you are a big fan of Transformers as a young kid, having a fully themed party would still be awesome... but very expensive if you add up all these prices.

Up on the back wall I found the Balloon, which is quite small and featureless compared to others that are a wide range of different shapes.
And it is $7 just for a single un-filled balloon (the packaging above looks like two balloons, but it is just a double-sided one being shown from both sides).

And while you are at BigW, check out these other licensed items... if you have kids and want to get ready for Summer holiday fun.

    Kids inflatable sleeping bag (150cm) - $49.

Sleeping bag with pillow - $19.

Small child camping chair - $19.

    Boogie board - $15.

I didn't go through the whole store, so if you find something else at BigW at the moment, let us know, or post up a photo.

Hey folks. Just noticed Ikea on the East coast dropped its white Detolfs to $99 as the new regular price. For some reason the beech and black/brown versions are $129 still.

I just keep wishing they'd bring the Nornäs out here.

ToysRUs is having an "online only" sale for a number of their more expensive items. Not sure how long it is on for though.
    Some of the items included...
    Platinum Edition Blaster/Perceptor - $150 (save $50)
    Platinum Edition Insecticons - $130 (save $20)

    US Masterpiece Bluestreak - $110 (save $20)
JP Masterpiece Star Saber - $250 (save $50)
JP Masterpiece Ultra Magnus - $250 (save $50)

    TF4 Evolutions Grimlock - $50 (save $20)
    TF4 Evolutions Strafe or Slug - $15 (save $5)

Myer had a couple of high-priced items come in this week...

And quite a few new first-sightings at Toyworld this month...

Toyworld has the first wave of RID Minicons (Divebomb, Dragonus, Sawback, Slipstream for $11).

The second wave of TF4 Movie Construct-Bots Dinobot Warriors has finally shown up at a store in Australia... at Toyworld... a year after the first wave was released here.
Bumblebee (with Nosedive) and Hound (with Wideload), for $30 each.

The Robots In Disguise transforming Titans have been found at Toyworld stores for $27 each.

For anyone in or near Mackay, the voice of Gen1 Perceptor (Paul Eiding) is supposed to be at the Sugar City Con this weekend.

Should be, according to Hasbro Australia at the Toyfair in March.

That absolute table flip moment when the MP Sideswipe you ordered from BBTS hasn't arrived so you check invoice and Austria is put down instead of Australia....with air mail, so no tracking :banghead:

Gonna be salty over this one for a while. Absolute blunder on my part. Sent an email, waiting to hear back but not keeping my hopes up. It's been 2 months so I assume Swipes is yodeling somewhere at the top of a mountain. Anyone else had this type of problem before?:dunce

Looks like Devastator has finally returned to Australia for regular release (after BigW got advance stock way back in June). It has been found in ToysRUs for $300... so it should be cheaper in Kmart and Target, but maybe not as cheap as the $198 that BigW had.
BigW had a lot more on order that they didn't get in June, so maybe more will show up at that store chain as well, at that same price.

Also, the rest of the Clash of the Transformers exclusive toys (at ToysRUs) have been found at a Sydney store - the Warrior redecos and the 3-step remoulds.

Plus, for those interested in the RID cartoon or toyline, the DVD boxset for Season one has now been released, for about $50.
Expensive for a four disc set, but considering it is out before it has finished screening on Australian TV.

Collector Zone Comics and Collectibles in Clarkson Perth!
From what I can remember... I was a little overwhelmed...
    Commemorative G1 Screamer $80
    " " Soundwave $100
Loose G1 toys Rumble, Frenzy, G1 Octane with his box
    Some Clear Cassetatcons
Masterpiece Takara Soundwave, Magnus $300, G2 Lambor, Wheeljack $120 (though I took the last one)
Hasbro MP 10 and I think I saw Acid Storm
Classics Megatron (tango coloured nerf gun)
    Leader Generations Megatron (Silver G1)
The huge Metroplex or Fort Max
Lots of other loose bots Armada Leader Prime, Energon Divebomb, RiD Gigatron all for really fair prices
X Transbots Apollyon $250 They had 4 of those that I could see so I grabbed one. My first 3rd party Transformer and all I can say is "Holy F***! Amazing!"
There are more but I can't remember exactly. Just that there is a wide selection.

TRU on Albany Hwy has Platinum editions Insecticons $150 Perceptor and Blaster $200.

And Paul at figuresdirect has the Marlboro paint job Masterpiece Exhaust, StarSaber $295

Also seriously look on gumtree. I was able to grab an MP 11 Sky Warp 20 mins away from my house... I live in the outer suburbs of Perth! That is not supposed to happen! There are a few people dealing Masterpiece TFs on there.

And there is the Collector Zone Toy Fair, usually at the Craige Leisure center coming up in Nov

Just when we thought that Coles were already the cheapest source for RID Legions at $7 (compared to $8 at ToysRUs, $9 at Kmart and $10 at Target), for two weeks (until September 29th), they are on sale for $4.90 each!
A saving of $2.10, bringing them down to half the price of Target.
