    Greetings from the UK thread!

Hope your thread goes as well as ours has and one day routinely beats us at sports.

(Also chiming in that I'm half-Brizzy (Mt Tambo), and having spent time there, fully sympathise with the prices you guys have to pay for TFs.)

    Hi, Group.

My greatest nightmare, what makes me shake with uncontrollable cold sweats and anxiety...is that they will make a Masterpiece Megatron 2.0.

Anyone ever deal with Aussie customs and firearm replicas before?
If not, pretend like you're Nicholas Cage in Lord of War because that is how they see us.

Gavitron here in Canberra, the often maligned capital.

Taking a break from the mainline and putting my money towards something worthwhile, like MP Wheeljack and Starsaber (HLJ has both at reasonable prices).

Going to be watching this thread :)

AOE lockdown and generations is all we are missing currently, right? Jetfire is a nice surprise, I haven't really bought online due to shipping costs either so I'm kinda limited to stores. :/

Edit- never mind about lockdown just read the sightings thread :D

my personal recommendations for buying stuff:

    Robotkingdom
(been using them for years, old but great seller)
Chimungmung (Tony is awesome, though his prices can be a little bloated)
PlanetSteelExpress (specifically for MMC and Mech Ideas figures)
ActionRobo (they get FP/MT stuff in faster than other places)

If I ever can't find a regular tf from one of them for a decent price I'll just go on ebay as I'm sure everyone else does. Still haven't been able to find a Windblade for a decent price though, driving me crazy it is.

I haven't even been to any retail stores past few weeks. Last place I went to was TRU Hurstville when I picked up 'Bee evolution pack.

As for online, I'be been a loyal RK customer for a while though the higher shipping has started to hurt.
I also used a proxy bidding service to get AoE Nemesis Prime from yahoo jp auction. Fees and postage cost significantly more lately :(

How much at Myer? I sort of want the set but it all depends on the price...if it's over $100 it's a pass.

I went to an open day for the AFP a few years ago, and among the confiscated items was an MP Megatron. According the officer at the exhibit (who had personally taken it), the owner was most upset about the one item. The rest of the stuff they took, he put his hands up to as a "You got me a fair cop, guv" but them taking the toy really pissed him off.

For those still looking for the TRU Masterpieces for this year, TRU have them up on their website for sale:
    Grimlock
    Sunstorm
    Prowl (On sale for $80)

    Snagged myself a Grimlock, can't wait. :)

I've actually been using BBTS to get stuff cheaper. Putting heaps of preorders into my Pile of Loot has saved me a ton on shipping, to the point where it's only a few dollars for each item. Of course, you have to wait a while. I've been filling up mine since March and I have a lot of items now, with the last (being Arcee, Brainstorm and Swerve/Cosmos) set to arrive in October.

If you want to get stuff fast or individually, go with Robot Kingdom or Chingmungmung, as you said. They have good shipping for individual items and fast shipping times.

Yeah i know about bbts' pol system but its useless for me. I always want things the second they are available and bbts doesn't accept paypal for any order that includes pre-order items also and I never use credit cards. Its a good deal if you buy bulk and have tremendous patience but they're absolutely awful (shipping cost / delivery time wise) if you're someone like me.

TFS are even worse, no discount bonus for aussies and their shipping costs are absolutely insane. I try to forget I bought my FansProject Tbone from them and the shipping was almost as much as he was. :lol

US sellers also always get things in more often than not way after asia sellers so imo asia sellers are perfect for aussies - we get everything faster than the americans and the shipping costs are fantastic.

I'm patiently awaiting any further developments in regards to possible future Generations releases. Id like to support the local industry if I can, but I don't think I can handle a $30+ 'local tax' on items readily available from Hong Kong, (MP Prowl, Jetfire, etc).

I'm wondering if we will have a light scattering of Generations before RID gets released. I guess that depends on whether AOE stocks move in the mean time.

I don't hold much hope for future local MP releases though. Hasbro Prowl's release seems to remind me of the Commemorative Reissue series.
