Not as part of the 2015 lineup no. Literally everything's pointing to Bruticus and Defensor.

Although I love this idea I think the problem would occur in Longhaul's inability to combine with other figures.

As poor as the set they've shown so far look, I wouldn't care if they did Devastator or not.

They've made Devy before with only 5 members (3 if you count actual moulds used) so who is to say that Hasbro are going for current canon accuracy with any of this stuff? And it may be The Theme for next year but there is nothing to say it won't stretch into 2016 too so there may be a bigger Combiner program than we are currently aware of. If that were to be the Plan Devy would almost certainly have to be in there somewhere. He's too well known not to.

And as long as it was better than that Energon abomination I'd buy one despite owning Herc and Giant.

You guys should keep in mind that there's going to be 6 voyagers and 16 deluxes in a year now. Meaning 4 full combiner teams plus two extra voyagers. And we've been shown half the voyagers, Optimus, Silverbolt, Motormaster. And lets face facts Bruticus is the third one.

Funny, you abandon your own logic half way through. Abominus is as likely as Devastator. The terrorcons fit about as well. Really the cons have a bit of an issue with combiners in that half of them are beast formers. And Hasbro has shown to be a little reluctant to have large numbers of them released lately. By your own logic the second autobot combiner team will be computron.

Defensor and Bruticus are the most likely to be next. since they'll tak ewer new molds to make.
Swindle and First Aid can both be made using Offroad as a base
Vortex and Blades can both be made from Alpha Bravo
Streetwise can be redecoed from Breakdown or Deadend

Onslaught and Hotspot would have to be new molds, but there enough similarities between the two that they could share a mold. just by swapping out Onslaught's cannons for Hotspot's ladder boom.

Blastoff, Groove, Brawl would have to be new molds

as for the likelyhood of Devastator.....he has been very prominent in the comics lately so I wouldnt rule him out. I could see him being done as four deluxe limbs. and then sell Longhaul and Hook together in a voyager box......or, do all 6, plus Prowl, as a Titan Class gift set.

I think we will get in combiner wars devestator and defensor. Then later down the road they will do Brutucus and (maybe even) Computron out of repaints and retools.

I think there is an even chance that Blades will be replaced by a plane or something other then a helicopter.

I think it is possible that we might see Onslaught and Galvatron as a remold/repaint of Onslaught.

Soundwave may also appear as a deluxe i think.

This is all speculation based on what we have seen so far from the comics.

How did I abandon my logic? Abominus is a 5 member team. I only ruled out Devastator because he's a 6 member team. We know from case size class numbers that each team will have one voyager and 4 deluxes. That's why Devastator's component layout doesn't work.

My gut feeling is we are not going to see the Constructicons in toy form any time soon. I'm not going to say never because it seems like there is a lot of fan demand but Hasbro doesn't always give us stuff as quickly as we would want it.

My uneducated guess is that if combiners are popular enough to fly off shelves then at some point that isn't a movie year they might release the Constucticons to get people excited.

I hope not he's been done more than any other combiner.

I'm getting the idea that the combiners will fly off the shelves. I don't know anyone who doesn't want them (besides those with 3P). I can see people buying multiples. They may be hard to find.

I'm excited for them, and I've got my fingers crossed that kids will like the mix and match play pattern they will offer up. While it will make collecting a little more difficult I would be happy to see the fly off the shelves fast enough that retailers demanded more and more.

Generations has moved well this year, and I only see Combiners as a boost.

Devastator would be fantastic, but there's one problem that could really be a sticking point for a Hasbro Constructicon set:

Hasbro is deathly allergic to putting out multiple toys with the same color scheme in the same wave.

They just won't do it. That's why we are getting an Acid Storm Legends figure instead of TC or Skywarp; because TC with Gears would mean two blues, and if Skywarp got repacked in the next wave with Nemesis, it would be two blacks. Green worked. That's also why the AoE dinobots were so colorful.

They'd have to make them different colors, which would blow up the forums, spread them out, which wouldn't make sense, or break from their allergy, which would be very difficult.

That said, I do think they'll come eventually. Generations has done fantastic, and Hasbro knows it's the collectors. Thrilling 30 has been crazy-oriented to adults with all its call-backs, and it's done great; they can hardly keep them on the pegs. They're more and more getting out there the characters the people want (Trailbreaker, Hoist, Skids, Beast Wars, insecticons, now combiners), that they'll come along sooner or later.

    My guess/hope: Gift set.

The next Titan class, perhaps. Not as big as metroplex, but just as expensive. You could have five robots and keep the scramble-city type connections of the other Combiner War figures, or go with six and not worry about making it match. I do think it really would work best that way. Maybe next Christmas.

They'll probably make every g1 character in a new mold. if they did it for arcee, they can do it for devastator.

    Also, Trypticon.

I'm going to go out to the skinny part of the limb and speculate oh so wildly that since:

    A. 2015 is the 'combiner year', and...

    B. The next batch of MPs are going to focus on Decepticons, that...

Rather doing voyager/classics/whatever Constructions, we'll see them in the MP line. There's lines of logic that keep the idea from being ridiculous.
    1. They're a major part of the G1 era, so they HAVE to do them sometime ANYWAY
    2. They're fondly remembered as one of the first sub-teams AND the first combiner
    3. They scale well to the Autobot car robots they just finished focusing on
    4. 3P have done the 'proof-of-concept' R&D and market research for them. To clarify, they already know the materials and engineering technology to create appropriately-scaled combiners are possible, and that customers/fan base will purchase them.
    5. There would be a certain amount of 'take that' directed at 3P groups' combiners(as has been speculated was an element of generations Springer's release).

Now I'm not saying they're GONNA go that route... but it wouldn't surprise me if they did.
