Tell me about it. The only way I've been able to justify it is to keep telling myself it'd cost about as much if not more to import them
Smyths Carrickmines have Powermaster Optimus Prime and Blaster in stock @ €61.99. They also had more of Sentinel and Galvatron in stock, and the TR deluxe assortment.
At least one leader Soundwave in Smyths Jervis And according to their website, the wave two voyagers are due out soon as well
TRU has Titan Masters on their website and they ship here. Check Eason's for the Legends stuff too. They had Groove's wave there and for some reason not only forgot their usual 25% gouge but were actually the cheapest place to get them at the time.
'Mr Price' in Nutgrove has several voyager Powerdives at €14.99. I never heard of it, but to my knowledge the mold never saw release here. Looking at the box, it was from a wave with the Megatron repaint of voyager Bludgeon. I guess Megatron sold okay, but nobody heard of Powerdive and that's how there's still old stock. Originally Asia exclusive apparently. I left it. Might be tempted to pick one up at a later date.
It was part of the Asia exclusives wave. Picked one up a few years ago. Quite a nice figure, Highbrow was the orginal figure I think. He does share a lot aesthethically with Skyhammer from the DOTM line minus the mechtech gimmick. He's based on the G2 Powerdive figure who was a helicopter but his head is based on G2 Ransack who was a plane. I always thought Hasbro or Takara might do a G2 Ransack from Skyhammer since they were part of the same sub line, Rotor Force.
That makes too much sense; they'd never do it. And Skyhammer is a brilliant figure. Although to be honest, G2 homages don't mean all that much to me. They were some of the last transformers I bought before getting back into the game about a decade later. And I only got a few because they were hard to come by. At the time, I tended to think of them as a bunch of forgettable nobodies. The characters meant nothing to me, I was only interested in whether they were good toys or not. I don't have much nostalgia for the colour schemes either. Never picked up the Highbrow version, which I would've preferred the colours, but think I'll get Powerdive anyway. He looks good next to Lugnut, a dangerous duo.
One thing I will say about the mold in general is that his alt mode is one of the nicest planes any figure has gotten and really brilliant the way he transforms.
Ken Black in Carlow had Alpha Trion and Astrotrain today. Only had a few TR Blurr and some RID figures.
Hamley's had lots of new TR stuff; wave 1 legends and Titan Masters, wave 2 deluxes and voyagers. Don't rush out, though, they're not exactly priced in line with reality; €13 for TMs, €21 for legends, €32 for deluxes and €45 for voyagers. Fucking hell.
TR Leaders are €86.00 in Hamleys. They lowered the Deluxes to 25. Had one Weirdwolf and one Mind wipe. And a few of the standalone heads.
ken black carlow has triggerhappy, breakaway, twinferno and hot rod in stock. Picked everyone minus hot rod. No wave 2 figures though.
