I too would be interested in knowing what's available in both Grand Forks and Fargo as I might be planning to go down there this weekend if possible.

TRU in Fargo currently has quite a bit of Animated product in... however, I've heard that Target is more up to date with the waves than we are and that is because of a glut of early wave figures stuck on our shelves.

Universe, on the other hand, is coming in nicely since we seem to not be getting swamped with figures. Some Deluxes are in stock and we've gotten the Onslaught wave of Ultras. I saw an Acid Storm still on the peg today but the Galvatron got snagged from the looks of it.

We only got one box of the exclusive Titaniums, almost two weeks ago now, and they went really quickly. Not sure when, or if, we'll get more.

All right, news from your local Fargo TRU insider, While I wasn't there to work today, I'm nursing an ankle with a nasty infection, I did have a paycheck to pickup so I zoomed through the TF aisle.

We have the next great shelfwarmer, Universe Unicron, and he looks exactly like my Armada one... exactly. Also more cases of Universe Deluxes arrived and there was one Galvy left when I was there around noon. More Animated Voyagers but this time it was one of the newer waves as there was a Lugnut and a Grimlock, whom I want but had to pass because I picked up a Deluxe Prime for my TF fix for the paycheck yesterday.

All-in-all I can't say it's too bad for the week. I wish you guys luck on getting the figs you want. :D

Doesn't look like a whole lot of people post here. I was up in Fargo this past week for business.

    Saw the following:

Fargo TRU: Voyager Megs, Mixmaster, Ratchet, OP, the Fallen, Ironhide, Starscream, and Demolisher; Deluxe Wave 1, no Wave 2

Fargo Target: Wave 1 of everything, didn't see wave 2

    Fargo Wal-Mart: Same as Target

Found Sideswipe HA at Target in Fargo today. Still 1 left on the shelf when I left. I also picked up Arcee.

I know this is something of a MN sighting but people in the Fargo area might be interested to know that the Dilworth Walmart has 1 case of Devastators and at least 1 case of HA Sideswipe in the store. With the way they're marked, they'll probably go out within the next week or so.

    Good hunting.

I just wanted to pop in and mention the that the Central Canada Comic Con is coming up this Oct 30th - Nov 1st. We would love to meet some of the North Dakota collectors up this way. Your only a couple hours from one of Canada's biggest conventions!

Transformer's wise we've got Alex Milne coming in for the weekend. As well Marv Wolfman is our comic book guest of honor but he also has a ton of writing credits for Beast Wars and Beast Machines.

Other guests include Adam West(Batman), Peter Mayhew(Chewbacca), Dirk Benedict(Battle Star Galactica) and comic artists Howard Chaykin(MArvel Star Wars) and Bob Layton(Ironman).

Our dealer romm will have all the latest in Encore Reissue's, Henkei's and Masterpiece's. 150 or so dealer tables all totaled.

Thanks for allowing me to take up a minute of your time.

    www.cccomiccon.com for all the details.

Well, I'm not from North Dakota, but I took a trip on the weekend to Grand Forks. Super Target had the reveal the shield Tracks and Jazz. They actually had Generations Scourge and kup too, but only one set of them and I picked them up.

Okay, just to prove that there are people in North Dakota, I'll restart this thread...

Picked up Dlx Laserbeak and Voy Skyhammer and Shockwave at the Wal-Mart in Minot, ND.

Also saw Dlx Bumblebee and Skids. Nothing new at Target that I noticed.

Evidently not. The biggest problem I seem to have is that the stores don't seem to put out the new stuff on a regular basis. Target is especially bad about this.

Every few months I'll make a "North Dakota Grand Tour" and hit the major "cities" in the state: Grand Forks, Fargo, Bismarck, and then back to Minot.

I think most of us resort to online more often because of how retailers really seem to hate this part of the country when it comes to distro. Fargo was horrible for anything Transformers until DotM was released, it's like the stores just don't care anymore.

I always wonder if it's a distribution problem where we really don't get anything here in north-central ND or if the stores are stubborn about putting out new stuff until they sell through the current stuff...

I think we just don't get any of the good toys because Hasbro doesn't want to waste it's money sending all the toys mainly we collecters want since we don't have such a large population in the state. (Although that's rising rapidly due to all the oil fields out west.) All the stores in North Dakota usually only carry a whole lot of the same transformers. I was at walmart the other day and only saw leader class bumblebee, deluxe bumblebee, topspin, nitro bumblebee, ratchet, and voyager class optimus prime, with a few of the very common generations line. Minot stores get very blah shipments of transformers.

You found laserbeak? That's a surprise.Something I noticed: Stores in Minot only usually carry toys that they got the first time they arrive as a new line.

Picked up a Laserbeak myself here in Fargo at the 52nd Ave Walmart. The Walmart exclusive Deluxes are in the area along with the second wave of HA Basics.

Back on the distro topic: I've worked at both the Toys R Us in Fargo and the Walmart in Dilworth and can certainly tell you that the distro around here is pretty crap. Walmart loves to load the stores down with the first couple of waves and then only send the last waves as those first ones sell. Walmart also doesn't like to put anything on clearance unless they absolutely have to.

The Fargo TRU gets poor distro because it's a 30k Traditional store, the smallest that TRU has, and those stores are often at the bottom of the chain when it comes to getting anything. For exclusives it's often one or two cases and that's it. Back when the Prowl and Grimlock Titaniums were released the Fargo TRU got one case and never saw them again.

    Leader Ironhide

Found the Leader Ironhide at the south Wal-Mart in Bismarck, today, so I picked that up.

Target is running their clearance on older TF, so I picked up the Battle Ops Bumblebee for 50% off. Not bad. Just not digging the DOTM Leader Bumblebee, so I passed on that one, sale and $10-off coupon and all.
