Well, I collected for 10 years in Virginia, and even with all of the fans with tons of cash living in Blacksburg, the hoarding and other types of crap like that of cat pee jack was never, ever as bad as here, lol...
Yeah I got WJ, CJ, and Soundwave at the Charleston Target on the 7th lol They must have just got the shipment of voyagers on Wednesday, because they didn't have any in the back room when I asked that day. I hope those managers that pull the cases from the back don't get wise, and just plain out deny us of toys out of spite :/
But, you guys wouldn't have wanted the soundwave I got, he has a missing paint app, and a loose elbow joint, but I still like him! I don't make it to Charleston very often, once a year if I'm lucky, so I'm happy I found these! The people at the Charleston Toys R Us were kinda rude though, I just asked them if they had any Prime figures, and the dude wasn't even willing to help. I wonder if he has had just some bad experience with other collectors :/
After suffering the same rudeness from the emps at TRU Southridge for over a year I finally got the inside track from someone and apparently, if it's true, the problem is that there are two guys and one female who work early who go after all the new tfs. One of the guys just gets it for himself while the other apparently gets a LOT, to sell online, etc. And it is these same suspects who have gotten just irate with me in the past for asking about the stock. It almost feels like a geek turf war in there,lol. TRU is truly scalperific. As for Target, I wanted to share on here that as I said before, I worked there for 6 years, and I can tell you without any doubt whatsoever that as long as an item is not street dated, they are supposed to pull any dcpi from the back which is not on shelves(yes, even if it's not set yet) and sell it. They have Backroom employees all day long who are supposed to carry walkies for this purpose. Refusal to pull for a guest(Target slang for customers) and/or lie to them got you FIRED at my store. So it's their JOB. Make them DO IT. Some common lies I've heard at the Southridge Target are "we don't pull what's not on the floor" and "the scanner lied". The emp who helped me last week tried that crap and by the time I said "well, I used to work for Target..." she was radioing the Backroom. It seems to me that the problem around here is that the antics of Ermin the weasel and Cat Pee Jack have got the stores inundated with requests for toy pulls and people just don't feel like dealing with it every day.
Hopefully they will just do the freaking job of putting labels up and stocking the toys, lol. Targets all across the country have been putting the new toys out, so much that there are people posting photos of it from inside the stores. It looks like the Charleston Target is just selling the stock right out of the Backroom to us instead. Don't know if anyone noticed, but they did the same thing with the DOTM exclusives for 2 or 3 months before finally putting the legions of Bumblebees and one Jazz out before Christmas. In other news, the Kanawha City Kmart is a DOTM dead zone and ditto for the Chelyan WalMart.
Anyone know if there are any collector/fan groups in he area? Anyone local looking for any toys they can't find besides the Prime line? I may be able to help/sell/trade.
Charlleston TRU is the worst I've ever seen. Besides the scalpers there-employees and store creepers- you have Ermine-the mega-peg destroyer and buy at least five of everything scumwad- and repack and return freak- Cat Piss Jack. My Soundwave was great I picked up and the Wheeljacks and Target is now claiming "streetdate" on those so that's done. Lazy bums. It is very hard to collect here period but the stores make it even worse.
Yes. I can't believe Target has gone as far as to lie about it. But they tried lying to me last week when I went!! These toys ARE NOT street dated!! The date Feb 27 is only tied in with them because that is when the deadline is for the new reset. Targets all over America have simply printed a label for them and put them out beside the Generations toys.
Exactly and if there was this "stretdate" why the hell is TRU selling them? The Target in Charleston is pure shit.
Looking through the other sightings threads, I see a lot of fans helping each other to get what they are looking for in other localities... Wish we could do that round here, instead of treating these things like the "one ring"... PRREEEECIIIOUSSSSSS.... ME WANTS THEM ALL...THEY CANTS HAVE THEEEEMMM...
I tried that once and now I'm stuck with a sealed generations thundercracker and a sealed generations wheeljack that I don't need. I could try it again but to be honest you guys are finding stuff faster than I am. I just don't have the time like I used to.
They did it for me 2. I was referring to the guy above who said they wouldn't. And to the people I personally know who got the shaft there. The day I went the emp tried it on me but I explained that I used to work for Target and knew the rules.
I got the voyagers one day, the next the same guy pricked out on me. I'll use the "I worked at Target trick next time though. Got F.E. Bulky today from BBTS, freaking awesome.

Yeah. It looks like they are just getting inundated by BR checks. But good grief all they have to do is have their toy team lead set the labels and allow people to actually stock them. Instead it's "deny the nerds". If this was any other type of product, like a hot video game, they'd be falling all over themselves to get it on the shelves asap. I wonder if the store manager realizes these things are as hot as they are and no one wants to set them? Because this business got people fired at my old job, this lying to customers(guests) about rules and street dates and stuff. But again, if you look through the thread, you'll see that for the last 2 weeks they've been barraged with BR requests, lol. But I highly recommend everyone call this number with their bad experiences, and let them know that you are full aware there is NO street date and other stores are already selling them other Targets have them on the shelves. 1-800-440-0680 So I finally broke down and ordered some things from BBTS, since I can't get to anything locally. Makes me sort of wonder why the local Peg Destroyer doesn't just order case after case online? Because that has got to be costing a fortune in gas! Dude could buy a small country for that much.

No I had him doing it (ordering online) but he's too dumb (no lie) to do it on his own. After he ripped me off I quit fooling with him, he lost his info source and "puter dude" and went right back to hoarding like some POS again. I almost broke him of it but I guess the skank is ground in too deep to change. Oh, he's got a drug habit too so there ya go. Low class all around man, steer clear.
