Plenty. I'd say 12 or so. I swung by the 132nd and L Walmart on my way home too, and they had em for 30 too. Not as many as Irvington though. You should be fine.
I picked up the Fearswoop set at the bellevue walmart. It wasn't priced on the shelf so i took it to the scanner, 12 bux. That's worth it for this set. Fearswoop has a strange transformation...
I'm noticing Supreme Devs going on clearance too. Anybody here pick it up? Is it worth it at a clearance price? Is it worth it at any price?
Worth twelve bucks? I didn't get any of that mould from the first movie line. The one eye thing bugs me a little. How is it as a whole?
I bought one at $66.00 last year from Target.com. Sounds silly, but I haven't opened it yet. I have a lot of other stuff to open first. The reasons I bought it: 1. Supreme class size 2. It's a combiner 3. His appearance in the movie was bad@ss 4. His toy appearance is mechanical and bad@ss 5. The discount was too good to pass up. The larger Transformers like Brave Maximus, Trypticon, and Metroplex are nice and solid. I don't doubt that this one will be too. I'm not disappointed that his counterparts don't transform. If I didn't buy him last year, I would have already bought it at $56.00. Plus, I will be getting the legends size Devastator too.
I decided that the most I would pay for Supreme Devs is $30. Basically meaning that I don't really care if I get him or not but if I did get him at a third of retail I might be interested. If Target still has him and he goes 75% off I will grab one. If not, no great loss. There is PLENTY of other stuff out now that I would rather spend my money on. Oh, and thanks for the heads up on Skywarp, Magnus. My brother grabbed me one last night. My first MP Transformer. Anyone seen the Jazz or Shockwave Mighty Muggs at TRU lately? Only one I've seen in the past couple weeks is the movie Prime.
Council Bluffs TRU had MM movie BB, OP, and Jazz Saturday afternoon. Glad I could help on MP Skywarp. He's a great figure. Love it.
He's alright. His transformation is kind of strange, and his legs seem almost an after thought... I think he's pretty good though...
Went hunting for the first time in a while this morning and grabbed some nice clearance stuff. WalMart on 132nd & L had Supreme Devs down to $30. Only saw one which I grabbed but if anyone is looking for him you might want to keep an eye out. Also, they had Masterpiece Skywarp marked down to $15! My brother and I about POOPED! Felt like stealing. Then I hit the WalMart on 180th & Center and grabbed Onslaught for $11. They also had Deluxe's for $8 and Voyagers for $17. Got myself an Arcee, Dirge and Bludgeon. Their other stuff was still marked higher. Devs was like $60 and MP Skywarp was $45. No consistency at all in pricing between the four WM's I went to today. Also, had to have the cashier adjust the Deluxe's and Voyager as they rang up at the higher normal price. But there were two big displays back in the clearance section loaded with them and some (Dirge) even had stickers on them with the prices clearly marked. Got the Target Legends 2 packs but may be taking them back as I feel guilty about spending so much more than I had planned. (None of the Targets I hit today had ANYTHING of note.) And I didn't end up finding ONE THING that I actually set out for. LMAO! Oh well. Still a nice haul and I can wait on Legends Devs and HA Barricade a little while longer.
after readin your post, I had to run to the 2 WMs closest to me here at work. it may be moot, but Irvington WM has an HA Barricade AND Legends Devs. Which WMs did you go to? So I don't waste my time after work.
Sorry I didn't check this earlier. SHIT!! I am gonna try to get over there here in a bit but I bet they'll be gone by the time I do. I hit the WM up off of 72nd & Pacific, the one on 72nd & Giles, the 132nd & L one and the 180th & Center one. Was going to hit 168th & Maple but after everything I got already I decided to call it a day.
Just talked my brother into running over to the Irvington WM for me. He said that LITERALLY there was a guy who was there as he got to the toys picking up the Barricade. GRRRRR!!!!! But at least I got the Legends Devs. Thanks for the heads up. If you see another Barricade, hide him for me. LOL.
It figures doesn't it? I plan on running around everywhere till I find a steal on Supreme Devs now that I know how low they may actually go on it. If I see Barricade again, I'll put it some place safe and letcha know. I prolly shoulda done that to begin with. Sorry bout that. Thats the only place I've seen it. (Irvington WM)3 times counting the one I picked up, so it shouldn't be too long before they put another out. If anybody does come across a $30 Supreme Devs again, please lemme know. Even $40-45.
If I find another for $30 I will try to hide it for you. He's a big fella but I am sure I could find somewhere. They had a bunch of them out at the 180th & Center WM but I don't get out that way very often. Might try calling them and telling them that you had seen it on clearance at another WM for $30 (132nd & L) and see if they might let one go for that. But I think they were still $60 there so... who knows. They had a TON of Transformers stuff in the clearance section out there so you would think they would be dropping prices to get the stuff moving out the door. Think that was the logic behind the $8 Deluxes and $17 Voyagers. They also had about 20 each of the ROTF Skywarp and Ramjet priced at $15. Robot Replicas were also $8 I think. Robot Heroes sets for $15 (132nd & L had these for $10). Finding that $30 Devs was VERY strange as up until just a week ago they had two sitting back in the clearance section that were still marked $98. And their MP Skywarps had also been sitting back there at regular price. Then today just a HUGE price drop on all of their clearance stuff.
I was the guy who picked up the HA Barricade. I've been waiting for it since I read about it last year. And, I just couldn't get myself to pick up the Legends class Devastator. I thought it was going to be a few inches taller and have more bulk to it. I just can't see spending $32.00 on it, even though each figure would cost $5. For now, I'm glad I bought the supreme class. I will keep an eye out for a supreme Devastator at $30 to 45. I'm thinking Target will reach that price before another Walmart. The Walmart out on 180th and Center has about a dozen of them, but I think they were priced at $80 this past weekend. They're on the other side of an aisle near the clearance section; they're not facing the clearance section.
LOL. Well at least it was someone from here and not a scalper. And after the clearance haul I pulled yesterday I'm not going to sweat a figure I know I'll see again within a couple of weeks. Just happy that I got Supreme Devs for the price I would have paid for that Barricade.
Thanks all. Structure8, If the $32 seems steep for Legends Devs, I'd say at least pick it up if the price comes down a little. I was a tad skeptical when I saw it in person too, but got it anyway. I must say, I think it's great. I was messing with it all night. More complex than I thought anything Legends could be. It's got more mass than it looks like in box too. Anyway. Now I just need to find the TRU Animated figs and then it's on to waiting for the next movie wave. I can't wait for Lockdown and Mindwipe.
