I've got my sights firmly locked on Scourge, I've needed a CHUG scale Nemesis Prime/Nemesis Prime Adjacent for a while. Road Hauler is a figure I've been keen on getting too, I just think the whole story behind the character is really weird and now it's made me interested in copping one. I'm considering grabbing a Burn Out too, but I'm not sure after buying Skids with a misshapen arm right out of the box.

Yup, I wasn't willing to play the game here with Kmart (I saw a grand total of 2 Netflix Bumblebees in all the time Kmart was stocking and re-stocking that stuff) so I ordered the lot through TFH in July. They arrived last week, and seeing people being unable to locate the things at Kmart (particularly Cosmos) I don't regret the (small) extra expense involved at all (Scourge is notably cheaper at Kmart, but all the others came out roughly even, including postage). I'm making a point of ordering exclusives of all sorts through them now, and I consider this an essential bit of knowledge for Australian collectors. All those Walmart/Target/Walgreens things that never (or rarely) see our shelves? Or things (such as SG Slicer and Flamewar) that aren't actually exclusive but which Hasbro just doesn't bother releasing here? Easily bought from Asian retailers. -edit- I stopped by my local Kmart this evening whilst doing grocery shopping, and there was absolutely no sign of any Velocitron stuff. Hell, they don't even have any wave 2 toys yet. Absolutely no regret here for not waiting and seeing.

Yeah, it is. It isn't perfect, but it is quite simply a better representation of G1 cartoon Bumblebee than the Worlds Collide toy (the squared off Cliffjumper design), and miles ahead of any previous HasTak Bumblebee toy. Of course the alt-mode isn't right, because cartoon BB was a deformed Volkswagen Beetle, people in are mostly familiar with the short (but not deformed) version of the car, and Hasbro for some reason chose to make the toy represent a peculiarly long-nosed version of the car. The only BB toys I've enjoyed more are from Magic Square (3rd party, looks like it walked off the screen), Origins Bee (the saucer design from the first episode), and Animated Bumblebee (which is a different character entirely). I can only suggest two courses of action - suck it up and pay whatever it costs right now (if you really want it), or decide on a maximum price that it is worth to you and just keep watching and waiting. At some point it may turn up for that price or better on E-bay, or Amazon, or a retailer somewhere, or over on Ozformers. In fact I would recommend you joining Ozformers and subscribing to the members' sales forum there. In your place, I would go with option 1, because I'm really not seeing people getting rid of it any time soon.

Velocitron is showing up on the East coast now. Looks like Morayfield got one of each - Overdrive has a damaged box, and Cosmos was already gone. Seriously, is this Cosmos popularity a meme, or are people genuinely that keen on the figure? 'Cause I really, really don't see the appeal outside of completion. (not visible but present: Burn Out, Blur, Road Hauler) Also looks like BigW's exclusivity on Motormaster has expired. Sighted at least four at JB Morayfield ($179).
