Core class SS Bumblebee figures at Target Morayfield - four Shockwave, two Ravage when I left. Hopefully this is a good sign that the larger figures are inbound.

Probably not new... Big W has those retro vintage Beast Wars (Cheetor & Rat) for $35 now.

(Off topic, Big W has stocked L.A. Gear clothing. Been many years, perhaps a few decades, since I seen that apparel label.)

Transformers X G.I. Joe Megatron H.I.S.S. Tank and Baroness Figure is now up on Zing for pre-order.

    Zing Pop Culture

I wouldn't normally post about a pre-order listing, but the low-low price Zing are asking makes this worth the extra attention.

They're only asking AU$118 (including $30 deposit). The US recommended retail price is US$90, which at the current rate of conversion is about $124.50, making Zing's price an absolute steal!

This might end up being similar to when EB Games/Zing facilitated bringing HasLab Unicron to Australia, we ended up getting the best price in the world with zero postage costs for those able to collect in store.

Let's show those folks at Hasbro how much we Aussies love Transformers interacting with Real American Heroes and get those pre-orders in!

Amazon Australia is $14 cheaper than EBGames, but you have to wait an extra 6 weeks.
But that's still 5 months before the American release!

I would love for Amazon.com.au to prove me wrong, but I have my doubts about them honouring the pre-order price.

(Seriously, Amazon, make a fool of me, I won't consider it any sort of loss on my part if you actually fill everyone's pre-order for AU$104!)

@griffin-of-oz has mentioned elsewhere that Amazon.com.au did make good on some less-than-RRP pre-orders for the Transformers X Jurassic Park collaboration, which is good news for those people, but a lot were outright cancelled.

Ignoring all the different release dates being tossed around, which might all just be placeholder dates anyhow, I'm choosing to think of the extra $14 I'll be paying to Zing as "pre-order security."

Amazon's price is cheaper, but with no money down I think it is a less secure pre-order.
Zing are asking marginally more (still a very fair price!) but they have taken a deposit and I have the option to pay off the balance before the item arrives.

I'm banking on it being a lot harder to cancel a pre-order listed in their system as "paid in full." At the very least their management would see that as a bad public relations move.

Very fair points, I have had more issues with zing than Amazon, but I feel like I see more Amazon complaints and the zing thing was a random one off, I still stick with Amazon for their convenience and ultra low prices and great sales plus Amazon prime means I can often get deludes for $20 voyagers around 30-40 and leaders for 60 if I pick my purchase timings well, I mostly buy in stock items from them though as I love their 1 day shipping and 2 day shipping super quick stuff! (They have a great sale right now I just bought three of those Bakst effect packs because I love combining fossizlisers plus my dioramas needed more gunshots lol) I like Amazon a lot but I try to support small businesses whenever I can(little toy company, which I wouldn’t recommend as I’ve had issues with normally gets exclusives for decent prices, there’s also gamesmen, metro hobbies, and hearts that I love) as I really don’t like the idea of Amazon handing a monopoly on toys and collectibles as I think that would really end their great prices.
Tldr: I strongly agree with what your saying, I just don’t love zing and I like Amazon

Over on the Ozformers forum, otca.com.au/boards/

Things aren't as active over there as they are here, but it's a very good forum for Australia-focused Transformers discussion.

I've lurked over there for a long time, but I've only just recently joined.

@edjodapro2468 I've only ever had positive experiences buying in-stock products from Amazon.com.au.

However, every time I've pre-ordered a Transformers toy from them (because the pre-order price was too good to pass up) Amazon have cancelled my pre-order, claiming they were unable to secure the stock.

When the item is released they have no trouble securing stock and selling it at full price, so I have concluded in the event that Amazon realise they have set their pre-order price lower than they should have they excercise their right to cancel the pre-order and it's up to the customer to decide whether they still want to buy the item from Amazon at a less appealing price.

Both times I had another pre-order open with EB Games or with Amazon's US site so I didn't leave myself at risk of missing out. But it's kind of frustrating when you think you might get a bargain and the retailer decides not to sell the item for the pre-order price.

BigW has jacked up the price of several TF toys, including but not limited to:
    - Studio Series voyagers $60 (same price as Myer!!!!).
    - The World's Smallest Toy TF $13 (was $12 which was already expensive).
    - Micro Toybox 10-set $21 (was $19).

(MOTU Battle Cat at is now $47. It was $35, then bumped to $42 & once more to its current price. Thankfully I gone mine for $28 with the 20% off $35 last year).

Rough news, but good to know all the same.

I don't know how it's been interstate, where the stores haven't been closed for months on end, but here in Victoria I've noticed a massive shift in Big W's pricing habits.

Big W used to have the lowest prices, compared to Kmart and Target. They would get quite a lot of end of line toys, the hard to find tail-end-Charlies, and would usually sell them at clearance prices.

Since we've come out of lockdown Big W have been charging equal prices to their competitors, and the toys they've had exclusively have been priced to shelfwarm (say hello to my little friend - Beast Wars Basic Deluxe class Rattrap, sold for $60 right alongside Kingdom Core-class Rattrap for $19!)

It's not like things are getting better anywhere else, though.

Target is having a 20% sale on TF toys, including BBM Soundwave. Though it seems its only click and collect for now.

On a different note, when should I expect Buzzworthy Bumblebee Wave 2 figures? (B-127, Cliff, Kup)

Was gonna pass on the Ark... I mean I get the idea and it's cool and all, but I have no attachment to it. Even at $199 I was okay to pass it up. At that price, though? Finally my insomnia pays off - cheers for the heads' up!

Looks like there's only 100 on offer during the sale, of which 34 are claimed - or it was just really lucky that it ticked over from 33% to 34% after I placed my order. Ends at 11:45pm AEDT but I doubt it'll last that long if there really is so few.
