you're probably better off ordering online and hoping the luck is in your favor, or waiting and seeing if the rumours that he's getting repacked in legacy are true

$90-$100 for a leader is something we are all having to learn to live with I'm afraid :(

Sightings in Morayfield KMart, as it often is. Those Buzzworthy Bumblebee Crash combiner things - at least the two Grimlock versions. Probably around a dozen in all, so likely half-n-half.

Also, on the subject of AmazonAU, I got charged today for Kingdom Galvatron. Still no indication of any of the others but maybe that means things are finally starting to happen on the local front.

little tip: wait untill they're on sale for about $60-$70, less than $50 then you should buy immidiately. im thankful kingdom galvatron hit my area at the exact time of the big W mid-year sales when he was $44

When I started collecting Siege it was so much easier. I would go into my local Mr Toys with a list of product numbers and if they didn't have the figure in stock they would ring around and get it sent to their store. Also the advantage of 3 month layby was great. Then covid hit and now they are getting in less stock per wave and because of a lack of drivers they can't get the stock transferred anymore.

Oh and this year my Big W got in hardly any leader class figures for the Toy Mania sale. Only a couple Megatron and Ultra Magnus figures.

That works only if they actually show up and you can get them. Galvatron still hasn't shown up here, and while the three leaders (Grimlock, Magnus, and Beast Megatron) that were dropped to $44 did all turn up here for Big W's sale, they were removed from the shelves (not sold) after about three days. Why do I say they were taken off the shelves? Because there were a dozen Grimlocks and half-a-dozen of the other two at the start of the sale, and suddenly they were all gone by the weekend, in a remote regional centre where TF toys do sell, but sell slowly.

I love a conspiracy theory as much as the next fella (but does he really appreciate paranoia, or does he just say he does to earn my trust?)

Are you 100% sure the product was removed from shelf unsold, or is it possible the toys were removed from the shelves to fill online orders placed during the several days when the sale prices were active online but not yet available in store?

Big W don't fill their online orders from dedicated warehouse, they strip shelves to fill those orders.
I've been at the Doncaster store at opening and watched a staff member remove every single unit of Voyager-class The Last Knight Scorn and Decepticon Nitro from two shelves, easily 20-25 units of each character, load them all into shopping trolleys and take them out to the storeroom.

I asked why they were removing all the stock and they told me it was to fill orders that had been placed in the past 30 minutes.
In fact, they said the 40 or 50 toys weren't even enough to fill all the orders placed, so some orders would need to be cancelled.

This most recent catalogue wasn't quite as severe, but a pallet drop display in my local store that was full to bursting point with stock the day before the catalogue launched online was reduced down to only six units of Leader-class Kingdom toys at opening when the catalogue went live in-store.
The display, at one point filled with more Kingdom Ultra Magnus and Galvatron than I cared to count had been stripped down leaving only 4 Ultra Magnus and 2 Galvatron for in-store customers.

As a post-script to that story, I filled out one of Big W's surveys online and I described in great detail how it is a betrayal of customers trust for them to come into the store at the moment of opening and find that the advertised products have already all but sold out.
I doubt it would provoke them to change their tactics, but at least I made my concerns known.

I meant unsold in our store, not necessarily unsold overall. But it still means that a potential customer can't just walk in and buy off the shelf as any sane person might expect.

But with regard to the stock practice you describe (which I have also been told is not how BigW operates), why would they wait the few days until the weekend to do so? And remember, we're talking about Mildura here, not one of the capital cities. Why would you grab stock from out here before grabbing stock from so much closer? There were plenty of sightings of the leaders in Melbourne and the other capitals well after they vanished here.

Anyway, the day after the sale ended (yes, the very day), they put those Magnuses back out on the shelf. That clinches it in my mind.

I was rather ticked off by it. Not because I wanted one (I bought my Magnus months back in the Toyworld sale), but because there were people either here or on Ozformers who didn't have any near them, and were asking if anyone could help them out. Was going to offer to grab some for cost plus postage for them, and then they were gone. Went back on the day after the sale for something else, looked in and there they were.

Maybe they really did all sell in the couple of days between the start of the sale and the day I went back in (in a region where a lone leader can sit for months unsold, or where for example a dozen other toys have sat for over 2 years now), and maybe they really did get new stock in the day after the sale ended (when no-where else could get new stock). Maybe. Stranger things have happened.

But I won't ever believe it.

I don’t understand why hasbro Australia is shipping buzzworthy bumble bee stuff that will never sell and not kingdom wave 3 or ss wave 13. At my Kmart there is at least 15 of those bb spike 2 pack things.

Hah. I've got 31 of them in the middle of no-where. Yes, really. Thirty. One.

Could not believe it when I counted them. Got to 20-odd, stopped, and then saw the other peg full of them on the other side of the TF shelves. I honestly do not understand how Kmart or Hasbro or their mysterious middle-man supplier make money operating like this.

Ikr how pointless is the buzz worthy bumble bee line here. Re-released shelfwarmer ss deluxes being sold for 40 BUCKS is out right stupidity. I found that 15 at Kmart ttp which is very popular so yeh no one wants those stupid things.
