Tonight, at Kmart Fountain Gate Shopping Centre, my friend sighted the Kmart exclusive Buzzworthy Bumblebee Bumblebee and Spike 2-pack.

There were seven on the peg at the time of sighting and the price tag indicated the 2-pack is $29 (which we already knew to expect.)

I asked my friend's permission to post his photos here and was asked not to, so unfortunately I cannot post any confirmation photos tonight.
I'll update with photos of my own if I venture out to Kmart and spot Bumblebee and Spike myself.

    Happy hunting!

You don't need photo proof to convince me.

Saw them at Kmart Altona Gate (VIC) today. How anyone can say with certainty that is Spike is beyond me. All I see is his exosuit. :p

Which he's out there somewhere... and he's naked!

Seriously, though, it's such a relief this 2-pack is finally showing up.

Is anybody out there wanting Core-class Bumblebee, but not interested in Spike/Daniel?
I would like to have father and son in their matching Exo-suits, but not enough to want to buy two copies of this set.

Ah, so it wasn't just my BigW attempting to clear out stuff that's been sitting around for a year now. Oddly enough, they still can't shift (and won't reduce the price of) the Shockwave & Slipstream ultra class toys that have been clogging the shelves (8 to 12 of the things in this shop alone) for close to two years now...

Not a physical sighting, but Amazon AU has pre-orders up for wave 3 Kingdom figures, including the Ark and Rodimus Prime. Expected date is early-to-mid July, so perhaps that's an indication of when they might start showing in stores as well.

I dunno. I gave up on wave 2 of the Kingdom deluxes showing up on shelves on Friday, and bought Huffer from (hack, spit) Amazon. I think last year's distribution disruption has only just now started to really kick in; I'm guessing that the entire wave will pass by without sighting here. So who knows what that means for the July stuff.

I'm still counting on a Big W sale for the commander class toy like last year though...

It's very disappointing that EB Games are the ones to stock this pack, rather than Kmart, because of the drastic difference in price.

Breaking down the cost of the included product is a real eye-opener.

Voyager-class Megatron is for all intents and purposes identical to the 3-pack carried by Kmart last year for $49.
He does come with some unique blast effects and a Matrix bandoleer, but does not come with any Battlemasters. I'll be very generous and say that's equal value to the $49 3-pack (even though I know it's not.)

Deluxe-class Skelivore is doing the heavy lifting here, carrying the remaining $80 of the RRP.
I like Paleotrex a lot, for $29, but that one figure is not $80 value.

Is there something I'm missing here, or is this just really bad value for money?

Add in the cost of a tub of Play-Doh as well! That's TOTALLY worth the extra money!
Really though, fuck EB and their overcharging scheme. I feel sick for paying Voyager money to get a Deluxe, but I didn't have many other options to get Deep Cover.
I mean, hell, Popcultcha has the Megs spoiler pack for a solid $9 cheaper too.

I've made my peace with paying $40 for Generations Selects Deluxe-class and $60 for Generations Selects Voyager-class at EB.
It's no more expensive than buying from Big Bad Toy Store & shipping them here.

The big difference is I can justify the extra $10, or thereabouts, as "exclusive tax."
I can't manage to crunch the numbers when it comes to the Leader-class Spoiler packs. The value for money just isn't there.

I'm personally fine with the odd $40 here and there but $45 is really pushing it a touch for me. >.>

$45 is definitely more than I can justify, especially for regular retail Deluxe-class releases.

Not sure if these are new or not but they didn't look familiar. Sighted at KMart Morayfield -- Buzzworthy Bumblebee "Mega 1-step" Bumblebee, and Cyberverse "Battle Call" Megatron.

Lotta shelves in that centre starting to look a little barren when it comes to Transformers. At least, anything other than Cyberverse.

Megs isn't new, but I've not seen that Bumblebee before.

Beyond that one Toyworld sighting? Nope, and I wouldn't expect more until around the announced release date.
