I see. It's interesting to see how distribution differs down here. I come to Vegas just about every year, and it always seems a little different than back home in Sacramento.
Yeah. We're a weird place. I honestly have no idea how it works. Sometimes we get new stuff right out the gate, which was common a few years ago. Lately, it seems we're anywhere between 1-3 months behind in Wal Marts, and 1-2 months behind in Targets. The exceptions seem to be Target exclusives and WalMart's receipt of G1 re-releases which come in right away. Our Targets especially seem fond of overstocking their exclusives. On occasion, we'll randomly get first or second wave restocks of stuff that are outside the planned release schedule, so we'll all be sitting around waiting for the newest stuff to come in an SURPRISE HAI from Wave 1!
I was kind of seeing that. Tbh, the shelves I have seen here tell some weird stories in terms of distribution. I don't think I have seen a single late wave figure from Siege...
There's about 3-4 guys here that regularly note sightings, so we'll probably see the exact date of any Earthrise dudes coming in Vegas.
The Fort Apache Wal Mart just got a big restock of G1 re-releases. Saw 1 Atrain, a small army of Soundwaves, and what looked like at least 2 of every cassette 2 pack.
Spotted the Hot Rod Patrol and Military Patrol at Boca Park Target (on the same pegs as Siege patrols).
Nice cache of new stuff on the eastern Target . Found the studio series shockwave, Soundwave, female cycles. Also earthrise wheeljack and ironworks. Took the last wheeljack.
Stopped at the Flamingo Target yesterday and got some supplies for our trip. Saw there was a Grapple and asked if there were more in the back. Guy comes back with Starscream and another Grapple. Pretty happy to find these guys since I haven’t seen these back home yet in Chicago. The other Grapple is still there. Only need to find the Earthrise leaders when I get back home.
Haven’t seen anything for Earthrise outside a single of each Leader and a couple Micromasters. And given none of the last wave of Seige Micros showed up, it’s been pretty sad lately.
I saw him once at Flamingo/Grand Canyon and picked him up on a whim (was going to pass originally), he looks really good in person. If I see any others, I’ll let ya know.
That's where the other out of state dude picked up the voyagers. That's the one nearest me, too. I've been there every other day more or less and found nothing. Jealous, but happy an actual collector got him. Saw a shitty repack in a Walmart nearby with a TLK Dread stuffed in a Barricade box. This town's getting even more frustrating now for collectors.
Oh man, tell me about it. I actually saw an employee hang up and empty deluxe box onto the peg the other day at the Spring Mtn WM (I’m walking distance from that intersection). I asked him what the hell he was doing and what he thought was being sold in that box, he just looked at it, said it wasn’t his job to know the product inside a package and hung it BACK up. I was dumbfounded. Don’t worry, Prime has a good home and I’ll keep a lookout for another for you. My Target still hasn’t gotten them in so he may due there.
That's Wal Mart for you. At least the Target kids actually seem to give a flying shit. I appreciate the extra eyes, man. Same here - if there's anything you need I'll be happy to grab it for you.
Fort Apache Wal Mart has an Earthrise Astrotrain. Noticed a few updates with other toylines I collect, so there's probably a few new waves releasing soon.
Finally got my hands on an Earthrise Prime at the Flamingo/GC Target. Nothing else new there, not even micromasters.
