Same for Ames Target. I only got Dreadwing, though (not interested in the others). The guy was really helpful and all I had to do was give him the dcpi and he was able to pull Dreadwing from the back.
I may have grabbed Swoop, Slag, and Dreadwind at Mills Civic Target. Jazz should still be there (and out on the shelves)
Davenport's Target had at least one full set in back and the sales associate brought all 4 out to show me but then proceeded to tell me that his manager deemed them a "hot item" due to people calling in and asking so they were limiting one figure, not one of each, per customer so all I came away with was Dreadwind. I swear this store constantly just makes up it's own rules.
I've seen that at other Targets too. Typically there's a sign somewhere saying as much. Admitted, I haven't seen that in Iowa, but I've seen it at a few Targets in Illinois.
It figures that they would show up the day I leave for Kansas for the week. Damn my job and the money it gives me to buy these things!
Between you guys and what brickseek is showing today, it looks like most Des Moines area stores are getting stock. I see "In Stock" showing now for Ankeny, Urbandale (Ranz confirmed), Ames, Cedar Rapids South, Cedar Rapids North, and Iowa City (Coralville). GO GET 'EM!! I wonder how far behind the Legends, Voyagers, and Leaders will be? Heck, maybe they're already in the stockroom, but without a DPCI, they're still a secret.
That sucks! Looks like somebody must have gotten them, because brickseek shows "Limited Stock", which generally means 1 or 2 figures left. The case I saw at Mills Civic Pkwy had 8 total (one of each).
Yeah, the sales guy I was talking to mentioned that at least one other person had called and asked about the same DPCI and in fact I think a guy walked up to him right as I was walking away. Obviously they got a lot of attention. I dunno, I'm still kinda mad about it. Not mad that that "rule" exists because I totally get it is trying to prevent scalpers and other overzealous fans (like me) from pillaging the stock early, but what makes me mad is the uneven application of the rule and how I get to read the forums here just full of posts about people walking in, doing exactly what I did, and walking out with all the figures they wanted. Uhg. 1st world problems. Target is always trying to teach me patience (and also to stop going there and just shop online).
I can tell you I originally got a, "We have them, but I can't get anything from the back" from the employee in the toy section, but after going to the Customer Service desk and giving them the DPCI, the stockroom worker brought the case out and would have let me buy all eight if I wanted. Weird. Good news is that it shouldn't be too long before other area Targets start getting them. Probably this week yet. I assume the distribution center would be the same.
I picked up a set of PotP's at Valley West Target. They weren't out but an employee pulled them out of the back for me. Clive TRU also have Masterpiece Movie Prime and Bee if anyone is looking.
Was it in with the rest of the Transformers toys or elsewhere? I stopped at the Locust Street Walgreens (Downtown Des Moines) over lunch today and didn't see any clones. They did have a Brainstorm and a few Wave 3 TR Deluxes as well as four or five of those "Cyber Battalion" figures. Any idea if the clone 2-packs have a unique item number (or whatever Walgreens uses to identify inventory)? Heard it might share the same number as the Deluxes do.
Found the clones at a Walgreens in Cedar Falls today. I think it was the only one. They do share the number with the TR deluxes and will be in the same slot in the shelf. My local Targets also finally got the PotP deluxes so I went and got the Dinobots today too. I had to ask to get them out of the back like everyone else has. Brickseek is showing pretty much every Target in the state as having them now.
Found the Clones at the 86th Street Walgreens in Urbandale. They were NOT with the other TFs, and instead we're on the nearby pegs with the smaller figures. There was one set left after I got mine.
Good news for folks looking for PotP Deluxe figures and even BETTER news for folks close to Omaha... Per brickseek, Deluxes appear to be in stock at almost every Target store in Iowa today. Legends are in stock at the three Omaha area Targets. No sign of the Prime Masters, Voyagers, or Leaders yet.
Brickseek is certainly changing how I hunt for toys. I had gone online only for awhile because I was tired of wasting time checking and not finding anything.
