I was crazy enough to go toy hunting in the snow storm this afternoon. I found new (to me at least) Prime voyagers at Bloomington TRU. I bought Prime Ultra Magnus and left behind one Thundertron and one other Ultra Magnus. I would have gotten Thundertron too, but the 26.99 price tag really dissuaded me.

I've gotta say that after the disappointment of the new combaticons, it's a relief to get such a truly nice toy with Ultra Magnus. The robot mode is very nice, it avoids a lot of hollowness, and the sculpting is superb. I like the truck mode too. It's simple, but in an effective way. I wish he was a show character.

There is a lot of Well deserved hate for ol' Bruti. I got mine for buy one get one 50% off and am not disappointed.

I was just really annoyed by him for some reason...I normally don't let toys do that.

Doesn't usually bother me, either. I think what does it with Bruticus is that he gives me so little hope for what's to come out of Hasbro's TFs. One of the main reasons I bought one was to at least give it a chance and see if maybe my fears were unfounded. After handling him and beholding just how rotten he is (to me) in every single aspect (sculpt, articulaton, engineering, materials, paint) and then seeing the recent reveal of the Critter Gitters...I have lost hope. And I'm usually that annoying guy in threads who tries to get everyone to see the positive things. :p

Very impressed by Mr. Jetwing - my first version of him! Dragon Prime repaint is okay too.....nice way to end the year. Also cracked open MP Grimlock over the weekend. Fantastic! Not sure why I waited this long...

You know, I'm actually okay with Bruticus, at least the SDCC version. And at $15 a pop for deluxes, $100 wasn't much more than $75. As long as you use Swindle as an arm and Blast-off as a leg, I think he looks decent. Hollow, yes, but the extra paint apps really help it.

As for Critter Gitters - I'm also totally unimpressed, although I still think Cyberverse is neat, and less of an investment.

Also: Are there any MP Primes still floating around in the wild? I'm thinking of picking up an extra.

God dammit. Grimlock and Blaster, two figures I actually want, now available.

What the fuck is going on?! Months and months and months of nothing when I have money, now a bunch of stuff when I don't and probably won't for a long time.

I'm so fucking done with this stupid hobby.

A thread was created for this but I figured I let the locals know in case you guys miss it:

$20 Toys for Tots Donation & FansProject Function X-1 Mystery Figure - Ends December 16th - Third Party Transforming Toys & Accessories FansProject

Speculations are it's Chromdome but who knows. Started with 500 but down to less than half already, seem to be selling fast so get yours while you can. They may replenish stock but they might not.

Edit: Nvmd about down to half, stock went back up to 450+ again so they are indeed replenishing stock

So yeah, remember how I was talking $#!7 about those FP bug repaints? Well apparently I decided to pre-order them on TF Source way back on Sept 12 and now they've shipped to me.

Anyone interested in the set? LOL

You didn't even know what they were and you spent nearly $200 on them?

    $159.99, thankyouverymuch.

And September is a long time ago. I've changed since then. I don't go buy everything just because any more. That was the old, stupid me.

LOL. guess I'll just flip the on eBay or something then...

I don't have them yet, but I'd guess tomorrow or Friday. The more I think about them the more.... I have no idea if I want to keep them or not. Once actually in hand it should be an easy decision, right?
