I was going to pose the same question, but I'm kinda thinking it might be just as well ordering the amazon one. By the time you meet someone 15 miles away to do the exchange and then round trip it there's another $4 or so in gas, it basically comes out about the same, only one arrives at your door and you're done.
Just a note, Viper was put up on Friday and didn't last very long. I put my order in around Noon on Friday.
Has anyone seen Street Wise on the West Side of the metro area lately? He's the only one I'm missing of the Protecto Bots limb wise. Still looking for a CW Motormaster too.
I've still only seen CW OP around. My wife found 1 SB, which she picked up for me. No MM or HS though. :-(
I grabbed a full set of protectobots from the Savage Target late last night. There was still a Streetwise and Rook there afterwards. As far as Motormaster goes, I have seen him pop up here and there at TRU mostly and even saw one at a Souix Falls comicbook store this weekend. Hutchinson Walmart had a G1 Megs as of Friday. Think Wilmar had one as well. He appears more available in rural areas. The weekend before when I was in Wisconsin I saw Megatron and Windblades everywhere which I have yet to see in Minnesota (except said sighting). South Dakota barely had AOE and RID stuff only. Distrubution seems horrible.
As I am still waiting for an update from the local Fedex office, the update I got from the national service center was that the driver reported that he left the box next to a mail box. My house doesn't have mail box.
The Post Office would have any part in it. This solely on Fedex. Though Jacob at BBTS has been helpful and if Fedex doesn't find it, BBTS should take care of it.
So I heard back from BBTS about my missing handle from Cynicus. Apparently, they're out of stock, so I can either return the figure for a full refund and not get the handle OR the figure, or keep the figure and get a $15 credit. Anyone w/shapeways skills capable of making me a replacement? I mean, I don't care about coloring since it's gonna be in Feral Rex's hand the whole time, but it's kind of a bummer. What would you guys do?
If it was me personally, I'd take the $15 credit, and make my own handle be it from Shapeways, or just from my own work bench.
+1 In other positive BBTS news, the Viper I ordered turned out to be defective as he had two of the same rear wings. BBTS is sending me a free replacement. Hooray!
Work bench is a good idea, but I've never really done anything like that before. Are there any good guides to stuff like that? Also, apartment living = small work area which is currently filled with my RG Exia I'm building
BadCube insecticons cheaper than FT's?? Wow, I'm really surprised by this news and now my decision just became harder knowing that BC will have theirs out about a year sooner than FT. I've been itching to try BC's products, with so many rave reviews, so it looks like I may get my chance.
I live in an apartment too, and I recognize that space can come at a premium...especially when juggling multiple projects. Judging from the pics of him online, his handle seems pretty basic...a stem with a couple of tabs that fit into the hand of the figure wielding it...shouldn't be too tough to figure something out. It would just be a matter of finding someone else in our group that also picked this figure up, and letting our resident 3D wizards work some magic. Either way, I'm certain you'll be able to find a resolution...If the 3D printing doesn't work, I certainly wouldn't mind taking a crack at it from scratch.
So reading all of this chaos surrounding Botcon...starting to feel relieved I passed on going. It's not actually in Chicago, so the wife wasn't too thrilled to go, the rooms were all booked before the con exclusives were revealed, and now we're less than a month away and people still can't get registered. Is it always like this and I just didn't notice because I wasn't thinking about it?
Yeah, I really just need to learn how to make mods like that. >> Have at it, if you want! I figured someone might be willing to go for it, and I'd be happy to pay for the piece, too. I trust all your skills more than my lack therof.
I still like FP's ninja-insecticon designs more... shocker, I know. XD I wonder if they'll sell them seperately so you can get one of each?
So a 3rd party company is attempting a MP Jazz, huh? Eh...something seems off about it, and when it comes to Autobot cars, I'll wait to see if Takara does them. Dinobots, and non-vehicle characters on the other hand...
