I am still on the fence about the g1 hot rod... Love his original car mode.

 

I'm on the fence about that g1 reissue of Hot Rod too. I have the original and have almost all the reissues starting with the 2001 Japanese reissue. No one should have that many Hot Rods. LOL

 

if you have one with tight joints but maybe some other damage (scuffs, sticker damage, faded stickers, or similar)
I am interested in having one as a desk toy type bot, but i'd want to customize him into a personal color choice if I could.


that's why I'm tempted, but also like "hmm, nah, i'll only get one if on clearance."

 

I know it's more then likely a straight g1 re-issue, but I'm hoping it's something a little different like cell shaded, cartoon colors, extra add-ons like his saw blade or visor. Just something. But if there is no difference between this and like the TRU re-issue years back, I'll be fine. Might still get 1 on clearance if it's in a G1 box just to have a boxed version.

 

If anyone is interested, BBToy Store is selling Rippersnapper PoTP for $10 @ the moment. That's the cheapest I've seen a PoTP toy.

 

I would get another one for a couple of bucks and totally customize him too. I did that with TF Energon Shockblast. Thank you for giving me some ideas.

 

I paid 7.50 for a Submarauder in Singapore today. I also scored a studio Lockdown for about 24.50. Not as good as I expected. One store had Optimal Optimus for 60, but I would've had to buy rodimus, too. Robot Robot had a couple Predakings for 190.00! I'm really tempted. What's the retail price going to be? 175? 150?

 

Thanks, I'm just going to pre-order. Optimus Primal is 75.oo in Singapore. Crazy price hike here. I went to Oh My Primus today. It was insane. Like a warehouse for 3rd party figures with Hasbro and takara, too. It was like a museum, I was so overwhelmed I forgot what I was going to shop for (Cogman and movie best Hound). So cool seeing all those 3rd party figures in person.

 

Miss shopping in Asian countries. Most of the time, I could find what I am usually looking for. Or I would be able to find figures from past toy lines in small specialty toy shops and most times at great prices.

 

Hi everyone. Yesterday I found wave three of the PoTP. I picked up Blot n Sinnertwin, left Cutthroat. Found them at the Grants Walmart. Looks like they just opened a case, they had 2 of each. So they should be showing up in ABQ soon. If anyone is looking for wave 2 figs, I saw some at the uptown Target. They had 2 Rippersnappers, Moonracer, and Blackwing. Then found a Walmart exclusive TLK Hot Rod @ Ross. Only saw one. So, you guys should start looking at the Ross stores. That is it so far.

My Asia trip is ending, but I did manage to score a Cogman in the very last toy store I went to in Malaysia for only 20.00! They had about 4 there collecting dust. So sad. Malaysia had an incredible mall with 5 stores that had transformers and 3rd party. Just awesome.
