I went out yesterday with friends on a toy hunt, didn't get home until midnight and it didn't rain at all, certainly not toy finds. Holy crap the cupboards are bare at the big box retailers after the mice bought all their cheese for Christmas. I may have mixed too many metaphors there. Pasadena Rosses had nada, Target Rosemead blvd & the 10 had nothing although a bunch of older stuff showed up here from multiple lines making me thing a scalper with too much stuff scammed a fat return, Ross there had nothing, Target and Ross and DDs at Rosemead & Whittier had nothing of note, down Rosemead at Washington and Rosemead the Walmart, Ross, DDs and Burlington all had nothing, it was a big fat nothing of a trip. We had a good time despite the dearth of finds.

Then I got home and the Amazon driver delivered my ML Doc Ock to the wrong building, along with a gift card that I didn't know was coming, so I searched 3 other buildings until I found that stuff.

On a side note, ran into a fellow collector checking out the Black Series and we chatted for a few about collecting. Was just a reminder of the old days and frequent this used to be in our area, not just SW but TF for me as well. Waaaaayyy back in the day on the Rebelscum boards the Sac area finds was one of the most trafficked part of the forums, made lots of friends there, some of who I am still in contact with to this day.

Pleasant Hill Target is still mostly a wasteland, but finally picked up a SS86 Frenzy there. One more Frenzy, 2x Noah and the other casemates still on the peg.

 

Hey, you're in my area! Around here, there isn't too much. In Torrance, there's a small shop called Toys of the Universe but they can be pretty pricey and have a small selection of TFs. There are more shops the further north or south you go. I recommend My D-Pins in Anaheim or Cape and Cowl Collectibles in Fountain Valley.
