So basically you just have to happen to be at the right store, right time, and look in the right section of the store (hiding in the back, clearance section, etc) just like Ollies.

 

Well, brickseek isn't totally useless when you know they're starting their clearance on specific items. It's just the weeks afterwards where accuracy begins to diverge and the phantom inventory becomes an issue.

 

So what would be my best strategy at this point?

Soundwave is only available for retail, all the stores that went clearance have been picked over. Optimus prime and devestator are long since clearanced from 2018/2019. I would not go hunting based off of a fluke find in Houston. I'm not saying they don't happen but they're highly unlikely. The time, gas and energy you'll spend driving around would be better spent buying on the aftermarket.

You could try to go to one of the stores that shows stock, produce the UPC for an item and see if that will go hunting in the back. I've never had good luck with this nothing since Walmart isn't good at tagging inventory locations like Target does.

 

That's the thing. I don't want to waste time and gas on wild goose chases.
I'll may try the UPC suggestion but I'm not getting my hopes up since it didn't work when I tried it before. Plus the Walmart staff isn't much help at all. I really wish these were sold at Target instead.

 

Like I said, mostly a waste of time. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I know the exact west side store you're looking for those Soundwaves at. I was there in early January when the price was higher and failed to find them on the shelf. When I saw the price drop later and the quantity still showing, I knew it was a waste of time. The employees aren't very motivated in general but sometimes you find one that actually cares.

Target had their own exclusives in the minicon set and the seeker 3 pack. They had their own distribution and availability issues. I was, however, able to find three sets of the seekers for 70% off.

 

I know jimmy lee parkway Walmart has a large quantity of G1 Soundwaves, his cassette-icons ,and Astrotrains. Idk when they will be on sale.

Marrietta Walmart by Big Chicken has 1 Earthrise Prime. They still have a lot of 35th anniversary siege figures. G1 Soundwaves were there too but we're regularly priced As far as I could tell.

 

Don't bother, it's just one of the stores that still has Soundwave for retail. Unless of course you're find with paying $50.

 

I'd much rather get it for less if possible.

Alrighty, Savannah peeps. I went on a toy run while waiting for my son to finish up a class. Here's what I found.

• Sandfly Walmart - Siege deluxes and leaders. No Earthrise.
• Best Buy - Earthrise Leader Prime (2 left), Earthrise Deluxe Ironworks (bought the last one), Earthrise Deluxe Wheeljack just one left.
• Savannah Mall Target - Siege last waves all deluxes and leaders, no Earthrise
• Tiny Abercorn Walmart - Nothing from Generations at all.

 

I’ve got into that Abercorn Walmart probably 20 times, never successfully bought anything from there. Their stock is just always old and minimal as can be. Lol

 

These guys popped up in Ross on Cobb parkway in Acworth. Already had the Beachcomber so he is still sitting.

 

Anybody see a Mirage in the Cobb area lately. I originally passed but now I want to pick him up.

 

They used to be decent, but they fell off hard.

Best Buy had one Grapple and indications that they had had more, The... Kohl's, I think? in the same shopping centre had a mildly decent toy section but no Transformers.
